The doors will not open when the weather is below freezing. After letting the truck heat up for approximately 30 minutes, I was able to pry open the door, however when I attempted to close them, they would not latch. After another 30 minutes, I was able to close the door and press the lock button to get them to latch, but then the doors would not open at all afterwards despite my prying. This is a major safety issue as I had my toddler in the back seat and I could not access the truck. This has happened after I've already had it taken into the dealership where they performed their recall fix, the fix did not work and they say they have nothing else they can do.

Feb. 2019, doors would not close once opened. ' had to take wife to work, had to tie both front doors closed from inside of vehicle. Tsb 18N03 applied in Feb. By local dealer. Dec. 2020; front doors froze open; would not shut. Tsb 19N03 applied on Jan. 14, 2021. On Jan. 23, 2021, again drivers door would not shut due to freeze. Had to hold door closed with left arm while picking up supplies. This was 10 a.M. on sat. The 23rd of Jan.2021. The vehicle was stationary when I noticed the doors would not close. I have short video, but too large for the 5 mb limit. I understand Ford is naming this "customer satisfaction program." I submit, this is a serious safety issue.

On Dec 27 owner opened the rear right door of the vehicle, when attempting to close the door it was observed that the latch did not function due to possible ice accumulation on the locking mechanism of the door. Suspect that the door is allowing too much water in during mild to moderate rain events and the door has a design flaw resulting in inadequate drainage and air circulation in the door causing the locking mechanisms to fail. Vehicle was not able to be driven on the 27th as the ice had not melted yet and the latch continued to fail. On the 29th, the door was finally able to latch again after it warmed up. Below are some of the meteorological conditions during that time. Vehicle could not be secured during this time and the door had to be ratchet strapped shut from the inside. During the day of Dec 26 through night of the Dec 27, day time highs of mid 30S and overnight lows in the low 20S with rain on Dec 24th.

Drivers door won't latch closed in freezing temperature. After warming up the truck, the door opened fine but would not latch closed for approximately 15 more minutes for a total of 30 minutes of the truck running. 27 degrees outside and dry. I did not try to drive the truck until I was able to get the door latched. I contacted Ford roadside assistance during that time but was able to get the door latched without needing anyone sent out.

I had my door latch recall completed on Sept 20, 2020. All doors were done at my local Ford dealership. The first cold day below 32 degrees, the door latch failed and doors would not close or latch. Called Ford dealership to tell them the repairs did not work and Ford will not return a call or E-mail to me to pay for the recall to be re-done at another dealership! please help.

I was in my driveway sitting stationary in my vehicle buckling up to depart for the store. I put my foot on the brake pedal to push the start button. After starting I moved the shift lever to put the vehicle in gear and the vehicle started to roll and my brake pedal went to the floor. Because my driveway has a slight ramp to it the vehicle kept rolling forward, I kept hitting the brake pedal but the brake pedal kept going to the floor and the vehicle would not stop. As a result I rolled into a block fence across from my driveway knocking it down and damaging my vehicle. Vehicle was just rolling under its own momentum, no power to the drive train. No injuries, but fence was down and vehicle hood and other front end areas were damaged. I have no idea what caused the brakes to fail. Filed an insurance claim and had to have vehicle towed to dealer for body repairs and neighbors fence repaired.

Lower engine oil pan gasket and front timing cover both leaking oil. Noted during oil change. Vista twin panel sunroof / moonroof cables in track assembly stuck, motors burnt out. Attempt to open roof while car was still, roof partly opened, motors made noise as if trying to slide open but were stuck. 30 seconds (approx) of noise then silence. Buttons to close are not functional, button to open causes small movement in panel to lift up and down, then stops. Moonroof is stuck slightly down and open.

My electric tailgate is coming down without me opening it. I was hooking up my snowmobile trailer and it came down on my head. We have had it open going down the road and with a tonneau cover you don't know it has fallen. Thankfully the boys had down hill skis in back that didn't fly out and kill someone. I have now pulled the fuse but that interferes with opening the doors. And makes my rear box useless with the tonneau cover. I have to put the fuse back in in order to open the tailgate. Detroit -- Ford is recalling its popular F-150 pickup truck in Canada to fix a problem with electric tailgate latches, but identical trucks aren't being recalled in the U.S.

During freezing weather my door latches and locks freeze and become inoperable. Sometimes doors won't unlatch. Sometimes doors I open won't latch when closed. Sometimes doors don't lock when I have used the power locks that should lock all doors. This has only happened after the vehicle has been parked for a length of time in freezing temperatures. Fords voluntary services action has failed to fix the problem.

F150 with electronic tailgate release will randomly unlock and drop open. This is happening at least 50% of the times I use my truck. I've heard the tailgate release be activated with my fob key setting on the dash board, no one touching it. I took it to the dealer today, 1/10/2020, and the service rep heard it unlock the tailgate while he was holding the key fob. He indicated there is a recall; however, it is not for F150's.. only F250-450's. what really scares me there is no warning or notifications the tailgate has dropped down and is now open. I only know when I stop and see it down or the loud steady warning when I put the truck in reverse. So far nothing has fallen out but this is clearly unsafe and should be recalled/repaired asap by Ford. This has occurred when operating on both city roads and highways, although, I'm not sure exactly when it is unlocked or drops open. This problem first occurred in early December; however, it was not nearly as frequent; now it is almost every time I use my truck.

The door latches become inoperative in below freezing weather and require the inside of the cabin to be heated for approximately 30 minutes before they will work. I have had both fsa's completed by a Ford dealer for this problem, but the problem still exists. This issue presents a safety problem because the doors will not latch closed and could swing open during driving.
