I had warranty work done on a trailer brake module on October 23, 2023. About 3 weeks after that it seemed like my transmission was a little rough. Then Nov. 6, I had several incidences where I was at a stop, and it felt like someone hit me from behind and lurch my truck forward a little bit. It seems very dangerous. In case someone in a crosswalk is walking in front of me I could possibly hit them up. My Ford diagnostic tells me that it is the electric transmission fluid pump. There was no warning no lights lit up on my dashboard warning me that this would happened. After I started the motor the next morning, the check engine light came on. The next day I drove it for a short time around the block and the check engine light was not on. I drove it straight to the dealership and made an appointment to take it in. I have read several articles and forums complaining about the exact same thing recently. It seems as if there should be a recall on this issue. Another issue since I-??ve had the truck brand new in July 2023 is it always skipped second gear which kind of makes it a little rough starting off.

This 2022 Ford f150 has experienced the exact failure shown in ford CSP 22B34. The right rear axle securing bolt has sheared. The CSP applies to trucks built through Sept. 30 2021. This truck was built in Dearborn, in November - BUT has had the exact failure. I am concerned Ford has under estimated the number of affected vehicles for this safety issue. This is concerning. Ford rep said it is OK to drive, even though it has failed and was not listed in the range. it could be a larger issue than the CSP.

Right rear main axle bolt sheared and separated from the axle. I am concerned the wheel and hub could separate. Customer Satisfaction Program 22B34 may apply, but the dealer is not certain but is looking into it. filing this report as this seems like a serious flaw.

I was driving south on Interstate 5 near Stockton CA and I noticed an awful sound coming from the back of my truck. When I gave it more throttle nothing was happening, my truck was slowing down, the more throttle I gave it the louder the grinding noise got. My truck was slowing down to a crawl, and I had to pull off the freeway, the shoulder was only big enough for my truck to fit, I could not open the driver's door because the on-coming traffic would hit my driver's door, I needed to use my passenger door to exit my truck. If was very dangerous because on-coming traffic was doing 65MPG, I had to call tow truck to come and tow my truck away to the Ford dealership. The Ford service dealership inspected my truck and found that the real axle bolt had sheared off and allowed the rear axle to disengage from the differential causing the truck not to move or have control. Ford Motor Company knows this is a safety issue, I have attached a document, Customer Satisfaction Program [XXX] that proves Ford has had this issue in the past couple of years and seems to think it's still not an issue, Ford will only warranty the repair for the one side that failed. In the document I have attached it clearly states that both axles and both bolts need to be replaced. Ford told me that my vin # is not included in the customer satisfaction program so they will not replace the other axel and bolt. This is a major safety issue for me and the public allowing my vehicle to be on the road the way it is at this point in time. The other bolt could shear off and cause my vehicle to run off the road or cause an accident because of not have control of my vehicle. Passenger side rear axle bolt, that holds the axle shaft in place, sheared off, which could allow the axle shaft to move inside the axle housing. I'm learning that this is EXTREMELY common on 2021-2023 9.75" 3:73 MAX TOW axle.

While driving on the interstate my 2022 F150 Lightning platinum lost all power to the front motor. The "comfort" mode display showed no warnings, messages, or signals to indicate that power was severely limited. I realized the issue as the vehicle was losing speed as I was going up a grade where the vehicle would hardly maintain 75mph with my foot to the floor. I have pictures from the incident which I have uploaded. (The screenshots are from the typical display, and with the specific vehicle power menu enabled. I did not capture a picture of the "Comfort" display during the incident. I have uploaded an image of the comfort display I had previously taken.)

The contact owned a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at 35 MPH, the accelerator pedal suddenly traveled to the floorboard, and the vehicle accelerated on its own. As a result, the contact lost control of the vehicle and came to a complete stop after colliding with a tree. The contact also stated that the failure had occurred four times prior to the collision, with multiple incidents resulting in property damage. The air bags did deploy. A police report was filed, and injuries were reported. The contact was transported to an area hospital by EMT and treated for a cut on his left wrist. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and deemed a total loss. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 1,500.

Rear axle retaining bolt sheered off. Issue was discovered during routine tire rotation at dealership 9/29/23. I will not have parts available as dealership keeps old parts. There were no warning indications of this issue. This is a known issue listed as Ford CSP 22B34 which instructs dealers to replace parts on both sides of the vehicle. Dealer indicates my VIN is not included in that CSP. Because I'm not in CSP the dealer is replacing affected side under warranty, but won't touch the other side. A failed bolt will cause major failure of the axle assembly during a turn potentially causing loss of control of the vehicle. Ford knows both sides need to be replaced, but I have no recourse but to wait for a second failure. Please help.

I have a hybrid powertrain. When the vehicle is in normal mode (hybrid mode - engine off) and I am at a stop after about 3-5 seconds sometimes the vehicle will feel like it is going to move forward even though I have my foot on the brake. When this happens the vehicle will jerk or feel like it was hit from behind. The event is very jarring and scary as you think the vehicle is going to move forward even though you have your foot on the brake.
