Some 2021-2022 F-150 non-Lightning vehicles may exhibit an illuminated powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator and Service Vehicle Soon message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U031D in the powertrain control module (PCM) and no other drivability concerns. This may be due to the configuration of the PCM. To correct this condition, run the PCM - Disable Pro Trailer Hitch Assist application using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool.
