Vehicle has a really bad shake coming from the front end. Happens while in motion over 35 mph and gets worse as speed increases. Feels as if the operator is losing control of the vehicle or about to. It's a very unsettling feeling especially with young children in the vehicle. Has been to dealer 4-5 times, multiple parts have been replaced, tires rotated, tires even changed and they can't seem to give an exact explanation or correct the problem. I feel they no longer want to investigate the issue. It's caused an extreme amount of fear while driving on the freeway, and something needs to be done to correct this problem properly. I've only owned the truck about 9 months and it's spent over a month in the garage, started less than 1 week after purchase. Started approximately 25280 and still happening today. We have everything documented since date of purchase.

On 11/30/19 while traveling on a highway at approximately 65 mph a bump in the road caused my vehicle and steering wheel to shake violently until the vehicle was slowed to approximately 20 mph. On 12/1/19 the same thing happened on two more occasions.

When hitting small bumps at speeds of 35mph or more the truck shakes violently. It happened yesterday while driving at highway speeds and shook so severely I had to slow to 30 mph before it stopped. This is a very serious life threatening matter that needs to be fixed. Truck has 9000 miles on it and that's it. Been doing it since new, but this was the first time it was this severe. It almost caused an accident. Everything is stock on this 6.2 liter F-250 super cab 4wheel drive. An inexperienced driver could easily have had a fatal accident if they didn't handle the situation correctly or if I was on a turn.

Ford death wobble front end shakes violently when diving over bump or imperfection of road surface at speeds as slow as 50 mph. Hard to regain control until speed is reduced to approx 25 mph. This is extremely dangerous and Ford has ignored this problem. This has happened on surface roads and highways. The NHTSA needs to get Ford to recall this someone will die sooner or later!

Have experienced "death wobble" on my 2017 superduty several times at highway speeds. As with all of the other complaints, the oscillation begins after hitting uneven pavement, and grows until you slow down. The Ford truck owners that have posted similar complaints are begging Ford (or NHTSA) to do something about this before someone gets seriously injured, or killed. When that happens, we will all be wondering why the complaints and information was provided, when nothing was going to be done to correct the issue (and to save lives).

Traveling at 60-65 mph on highway front end of truck began to shimmy violently ( death wobble). This happened after crossing a bridge joint in the road. Had to slow truck down to 20 mph to stop the shimmy. This could have ended badly if there was traffic behind me or in the on coming lane. Truck was barely controllable and took extreme effort to maintain control.

At highway speeds, bumps in the road cause the steering to begin to wobble and make the vehicle uncontrollable, slowing down allows the driver to regain control. It has been called the death wobble be many people and appears to be a known issue. Problem started around 25000 miles. Continues to this day at 45000 miles, seems to be getting worse.

While driving on the highway at 70 mph, if both front wheels hit a bump at the same time, the truck begins to violently shake until the speed is reduced to around 40 mph. This first happened at about 2 years and 40,000 miles. The Ford dealership replaced the steering damper and said that would fix the issue. A year later and at 53,000 miles, this began happening again while towing my travel trailer camper. It is about 8,000 lbs and 650 pounds on the hitch. The problem was far worse with the weight distributing hitch than without, however I did experience it twice in about 100 miles on a standard hitch.

While on the highway at approx. 70mph I struck a bump and the front end began to oscillate uncontrollably. The vibration continued until speed was reduced below 40mph. This has occurred twice now. Ford replaced a stabilizer after the first occurrence but the problem has returned.

Driving truck on highway at about 73 mph. Steering wheel started shaking back and fourth badly, wobbling. Applied brakes and it settled down. It has done this several times. Also done at about 50 mph on newly asphalt highway. Apllied brakes and it settled down. I also had my tires balanced at two different tire shops that I deal with all the time. All this is drving straight on smooth asphault highway. Took to dealer and they said steering dampner (I think was the name) was bad. Replaced it and said they drove it and was ok. Truck had around 17,800 when it first did this. Truck still had a very very slight right to left shake.this was done on 9/20/2019, 18,257 miles. Did not have a "death wobble" again until 11/15/2019. It was horrible. On intersate fourty in Arkansas driving on straight road about 78mph around 8:00 at night.. did not feel any bump. Worse wobble I have had on my truck. The wobble did no stop until I got off interstate and stopped the truck. Scared me and my brother to death!!! did not do it again on way home, this is about 350 miles. Still has little shake to steering wheel that I said earlier. I don't know what would have happened if this had been my wife or grand daughter. This is a very very vsry serious problem. I called my dealer when and he said bring it back and try not to drive it over 70mph. This should not have anything to do woth it. I have videos of some of this, but not the last time

Experiencing severe steering oscillation (death wobble) under normal highway operation with my factory stock 2017 Ford F-250 4X4. Vehicle has been taken to my local Ford dealership twice for this steering oscillation issue, under factory warranty, and the problem persists. The dealer now states they are unable to replicate the problem and stated a Ford factory tech instructed them to increase the front tire pressure to 5 psi over what the door sticker indicates as the recommended psi. The dealer road force balanced the front tires and told me the vehicle could be picked up. I picked up the vehicle and experienced the steering oscillation again on the way home from the dealership. The death wobble normally occurs when the vehicle is traveling straight at speeds between 45 and 55 mph when the vehicle encounters bumps (expansion joints in the roadway) and/or roadway to bridge transitions. The vehicle shakes violently and the steering wheel oscillates rapidly. The vehicle returns to normal function when the speed is reduced to speeds under 30 mph.

Several times my truck has gone into a severe shimmy while traveling at freeway speeds. The only way to get it to stop is to stand on the brakes and hope anyone behind me is alert. I have owned a 2009, and a 2013 F-250 and never had this problem with them.

2017 Ford super-duty F-250 pick-up truck; violent shaking of front end while driving at various highway speeds. My vehicle began to shake violently on 2 separate occasions, for seemingly no reason, while driving at normal operating speeds. Rapid deceleration required immediately to regain control of vehicle. Both occurred while operating on paved roads ( freeway/expressway and 2 lane highway ) - no pot holes or bumps hit, that I am able to recall.

At 70mph vehicle hit a small elevation change in the roadway causing the vehicle go into what the dealership called a "death wobble". steering wheel shook and it felt as if all wheels were bouncing in different directions. I was driving at 75 mph on interstate 10 heading to junction Texas. There was an area of highway construction and as I was coming off of this construction there was some uneven road and bumps. My front left tire started to shake, the steering wjheel started to shake and it progressively got so bad that the entire truck was shaking. I had to gently apply the brakes but unable to steer appropriately we veered into the median of I10. I had both my 3 and 6 year old in the truck. Had there been a median wall or traffic this likely would have been a serious accident. This same scenario happened 2 more times on our trip both at bridge interfaces.
