I was traveling down the highway at approximately 60 mph and hit a bump. My vehicle began shaking violently. I had to abruptly decelerate down to 35 mph to get ot to stop shaking. I believe it's called a death wobble. I've had my vehicle in to the Ford dealership twice to have it fixed to no avail. I had the whole front end rebuilt. $1500 down the drain. I had a 2012 F350 that did the same thing. This wobble has happened to me many times. Most recently it happened on 12/22/2019.

Heavy vibration and shacking of steering wheel this is not an isolated incident with our trucks, it's a nationwide problem that is very very dangerous. In a 10 mile ride it would happen 3-4X at 70 to 75mph hitting the slightest bump, the truck would violently shake. I would have to slow down to 20 mph for it to stop. Very difficult on a highway

My 2017 F350 has 15,000 miles on it and has experienced extreme death wobble at least 10 times. If you are going over 70 on the turnpike and hit a bump this happens. You need to make Ford recall this before people die. My truck is 100 percent stock except for a rear sway bar I added, and has never been off road. It happened 9-28-19 3 times but has done this before. I have an appointment to have it fixed 12-19-19, but from what I have read Ford fixes do not really fix the problem. Please make Ford recall this before people start dying on the highways.

Bought my Ford F 350 XLT in Feb of 2019 with 12,936 miles on it from rochester Ford in mn driving home on the interstate at about 70 mph it did the death wobble 3 times and I called them and they acted like they had never heard of it. Couldn't get it into the shop until a couple weeks later at bedford Ford in bedford Indiana where they replaced the steering dampener. Hadn't happened again until Nov 26, 2019. Made an appt. At bedford in Ford dealership and they said it was the tires and needed an alignment and new tires. Mileage is less than 24,000 miles on it. So the problem is still not fixed and they are just pushing me away and blaming the tires.

While driving highway-speed about 65 mph, the truck hits a grove in the highway road and started to shake violently and uncontrollable. I slowed down while trying to keep the truck in one lane and it stopped the bucking/wobble action when the speed was reduced to 20 mph. This has happened twice in the past week and vehicle is scheduled to be looked at in the service center.

My vehicle aluminum rims all corroded around the valve stem causing them to loose air. Ford replaced all the rims at 10,000 miles. They told me they were aware of the problem and had corrected it. At 39,500 miles the new rims did the same thing corroding around the valve stem causing the air to leak out. The problem was not corrected.Ford agreed the rims were defective and would only replace them if I paid over half of the new cost. I am always fearful that the tires will loose air at high speed and cause a crash.

The wheels and valve stems are corroding and leaking air. The oem wheels have been replaced under warrantee with new oem but they have started leaking again. On long drives when the tires heat up the leak seems to get worse. I have to air up the tires every day before driving the truck. I'm concerned about the air loss when I'm hauling heavy loads.

I had a continual lost of air pressure in one of my tires during the removal of the original equipment tire at discount tires the manager informed me that the chrome was flaking off on the inside of the rims where the tire seals to the rim a possible manufacture defect that could cause poor seal and deflation of my tires or worst. If not for the nail puncturing my tire I would not have found the defect in the manufacturing of the 4 rims on my truck. Because the one tire was not repairable I had to buy 4 new tires that how I found that all 4 of the rims had the same defect. My concern is my truck safe to drive on these 4 rims or could I have a tire failure because of a lost of tire seal from the chrome flaking off inside the rims. I do have picture.

2017 vehicle with 26,000 miles. Outside drw wheels, both passenger and driver side have presented corrosion and are losing air pressure stationary and in motion due to incompatible metals on rim and valve stem. Recall needs to be enacted and rims need to be replaced.

The truck experiences air leaking from all of the aluminum wheels at the valve stem. This vehicle has been to the dealer seven (7) times for tires losing air. It has required six (6) valve stem replacements. Some have bee replaced twice. My understanding is that the metal valve stems used on the 2017 Super Duty trucks with tire pressure monitoring system faulty where the stem meets the aluminum rim resulting in continual loss of air. The steel wheels (dually) on the inside rear do not leak air. Although there is a monitoring system, air may not be available resulting loss of air in the tires and driving under load (the truck is designed for towing heavy loads - we tow a 5th wheel trailer) with underinflated tires. Internet research shows this is a common unaddressed problem for 2017 and newer F350 dual wheel trucks using 17"X6.5" polished aluminum 8 lug 5 hole wheels. The problem started approximately 10 months after the truck was bought new at 5,000 miles and continued ever since.

Wheels on this vehicle are aluminum alloy with steel valve stems. Because these are two different metals they are causing a corrosion problem which in turn is causing the tires to lose air pressure. If driving at highway speeds I believe that if the wheels and tires were to loose pressure quickly that this could lead to a catastrophic accident. I have read of multiple complaints of this same problem on the internet but Ford has done nothing to address the issue. Corrosion appears to be not only inside the valve stems but also on the wheels. Replacing the valve stem will do nothing to correct the problem as it will only occur again and again. I bought this vehicle in may of 2018 (new) and it has been occurring ever since. I continually have to fill them with air. Took it into Ford under warranty but the issue was not corrected.

Tire valve stems are leaking repeatedly, new valve stems will start leaking sometimes the next day. While the dealer is replacing the stems under warranty (bumper to bumper) this is causing a dangerous condition. 25% of air can be lossed overnight. It seems like the manufacturer is trying to run out the warranty and leave consumers with the price of the stems afterward. In 15,000 miles, one of the wheels on the truck has had 4 stems put in.

Cast aluminum wheels leaking air from area around steel valve stem where corrosion is occurring. All have been replaced once and one was replaced twice. Vehicle has 29K miles. The air loss has been both slow and quick. This is dangerous as I pull a 13,000 pound trailer. Dealers are aware of many cases. Ford will not replace wheels with a safe product and continues to replace with the same defective wheel and valve.

While traveling at approximately 65mph truck developed a high speed wobble. Wife was driving at the time and was barely able to get the truck stopped without losing control. The truck that has 26000 miles on it had no payload shook so hard that my wife was unable to hold on to the steering wheel and had to apply the brakes to get it stopped while trying to stay in her lane and on the road.

While driving on the highway about 50mph I passed over a small bump (roadway to overpass) in the road. The front end of my truck began to shake violently. I had to pull over to the side of the road and stop to get it to stop shaking. This has happened a few times in the past but the shaking has not been as violent and has stopped when letting off the throttle (not this time). This seems to be getting worse. My truck has 11,450 miles.

While driving at normal highway speeds (65) an 'extreme' wobble developed in front steering and suspension. Steering wheel deflection was around 30 degrees side to side from top center. A fifth wheel travel trailer was being towed and the wobble resulted in departure from travel lane; however, no accident occurred. Speed was reduced to 20 mph before wobble ceased and trailer brakes we the only effective thing to straighten truck. Application of truck brakes seemed to worsen the wobble. Volumes of information exist on this issue labeled as 'death wobble.' Https://M.youtube.com/watch"V=4jv7L8bbo1Q https://M.youtube.com/watch"V=8euq6F8rgt4 vehicle is at purchasing dealer for repair. I am happy to speak with NHTSA if deemed appropriate.

Problem # 1 vehicle shakes violently while in motion when it hits a small bump or pothole. It has happened few time in the last couple weeks, on 2/15/2019 while driving at about 60 mhm the vehicle hit a small bump and the vehicle from suspension started to shake so violently that I almost lost control of it. I had to apply brakes and reduce speed by 50% to stop the shaking. Problem 2. front air monitoring system failure. It all the sudden started to give wrong readings in both front tires.
