Death wobble horrific experience (2)x on 9/15/22 after work on the interstate coming home. Almost rear ended by 18 wheeler. Travel speed 74. 6-lane highway, I had to control the vehicle best as possible in order to move over (3) lanes safely. Cars raced past blaring their horns b:c accident almost happened. Again on 9/18/22, merging on the interstate travel speed 60 with trailer attached. It was a VERY SCARY EXPERIENCE! I almost got killed not to mention another person could-??ve lost their life too! This defect IS NO JOKE!! Ford should take responsibility & RECALL THESE VEHICLES!!! Do we have to die before they decide to fix a defective part(s)" I love my F350, & only source of transportation. I can-??t afford to repair it at the moment. But Ford can at No charge to me. $65k vehicle, $3k parts/labor on a defect known by Ford & they-??re not gonna take care of their customers?" WTF!!! I-??ll sue Ford - safety is priority but not to Ford!

I have less then 40k on my 2019 f350 and I was driving home from work on August 24th on a back country road and all of a sudden my truck went into a complete shake as if I was going over rumble strips times 10... I was only going maybe 70km hr on dry/smooth road. I stopped the truck got out and looked at all my tires and nothing to be seen. Proceeded to head home and all was fine again. When this happened I had very little control of steering. This scares the absolute crap out of me as I haul horses all the time on the hwy's and if this was to happen doing higher speed hauling, I am scared of the outcome. I am a very experienced driver and hauling, driven all across Canada and the States hauling high end horses even in Europe. I am hoping a fix is in the very near future as if I was to lose my life or one of my animals life because of this... NOT GOOD for a anyone. thanks

Starting 3 weeks ago I experienced a very heavy and almost uncontrollable shaking in my steering and suspension after hitting a rough patch on the road. Since then it has occurred at least 7 additional times. I am now a bit hesitant to drive the truck. The truck is available for inspection and the dealer has confirmed this is a known problem often termed as the Death Wobble. The truck has not been inspected by anyone yet and there were no warnings of any kind prior to the many times it has happened. I took it to the dealer within a couple of days of the first incident and they have parts on back order but still nothing to fix my truck with after almost 5 weeks. I called the hotline in the letter that Ford sent out regarding the extended warranty for this issue and they said they would take care of it but I have not heard back from them today (I called yesterday and they said I would get a call before EOB today).

intermittent "death wobble" from front tires. Has been happening since about 4000 miles. First dealer said nothing was wrong, then they replaced steering stabilizer under recall, then they replaced track bar. Then they said they can't find anything wrong. Truck is still wobbling at 39000 miles. Truck is 100% stock

The steering started wobbling very bad after hitting a bad section of the highway. I had to almost come to a complete stop for it to quit shaking. These occurred several more times on a 3000 mile trip. I was pulling a 40 ft 5th wheel and made it very hard to control. I have the truck at the ford dealer to check it out. There were no warnings before the first time it happened.

On 7/22/2022 I was driving on I80 in Salt Lake City, UT at approx 3:30 pm. The weather was clear the highway was dry. I was traveling at 55 MPH and hit a pothole. The truck began to wobble violently and required I come to complete stop on the shoulder before it stopped wobbling. I then progressed slowly to determine if it had rectified and proceeded to my destination. Since that time I have experienced continued wobble when I go over expansion joints or bumps, but not as violent as the one in SLC. It resolves fairly quickly with minor deceleration. I will be contacting a FORD Dealer about this issue to get it rectified. I have spoken to other F350 owners that have had similar experiences.

At 32k miles sudden development of a severe steering wheel shake after a small bump in the road. It now happens repeatedly at highway speed under normal driving conditions. I am required to slow to under 30mph to allow the shake to stop. This happens when just driving the truck as well as anytime I am pulling out 35ft 5th wheel home. The first few times it happened, I was able to keep the truck and trailer straight until I slowed enough. More recently it is harder to keep the truck going straight as the ability to steer during this event is diminished. Two ford dealers have told me it-??s just how the truck is. I have another appointment just for this issue on August 1, 2022.

During the past two weeks while pulling a 5th wheel trailer I have experienced multiple incidents of violent front end shaking; a feeling that the front of my truck is almost floating from side-to-side and a rapid jerking of the steering wheel back and forth. The only way to regain control of the vehicle is a hard breaking to slow the truck from my normal towing speed of 65 mph to around 40 mph. When this happens in heavy traffic pulling a 12,000-pound trailer I-??m afraid I will hit a vehicle on either side of me or be hit by a vehicle from behind due to the hard breaking. It happened 3 times on the same day during a recent 400-mile travel day along I-40. The events were precipitated by rough road, potholes, transitions between the roadway and a bridge, etc.

When driving at highway speed encountering a rough stretch of road or a crack, bridge interface or substantial crack in the road surface the truck will begin an extreme vibration and the steering wheel will shudder violently. The only way to gain control is to slow down to at least 30 or 35 miles per hour which is dangerous to do in busy traffic. This has occurred 7 times within the last 6 weeks.

During normal highway driving 50 mph and over the front wheels start to hop uncontrollably causing loss of control and steering until you slow way down or stop on the highway to get them back under control. dealer installed a new steering stabilizer over a year ago and problem has returned dealer checked on front end alignment showed all parameters in factory spec. offered to put in another stabilizer but they are not available. I purchased and installed an aftermarket stabilizer which for now seems to help. dealer offered to tweak the alignment to eliminate this problem at a cost of $600 to me Frustrating that a new truck could lose control at highway speeds and the Mfg. is not being held responsible or willing to correct a factory known problem at no cost to the customer

Several occurrences of violent sustained steering oscillation at high speeds, also known as death wobble. Front end steering components failing/worn out at 55k miles. Violent shaking of front end on interstate, little to no control of vehicle. The only way to get this frightening death wobble event to stop is to slow down to nearly a stop on the interstate which put driver and passenger at rick or being rear ended or causing another type of accident. Vehicle does not feel safe to drive, every bump or expansion joint in the road is a stress inducing concern when driving. Ford offering steering stabilizer replacement but identified that the truck needs tie rods and a new drag link as well to get this death wobble to stop. Ford should recall these components for safety reasons.

I was traveling down an interstate (60 mph)and hit a bump in the road. The vehicle and steering wheel started to shake violently. I had to abruptly apply my brakes to reduce my speed to 30MPH to regain control of my vehicle. All this while towing a 36 Feet long camper. This happened 3 times within a 10 mile distance.

We have been afflicted by the notorious Ford "death wobble" on our F-350XL multiple times. Twice, Haldeman Ford on Rt.33 claims to have "fixed" it only for it to happen yet again. The 3rd time it occurred, my field crew was on the PA Turnpike when the steering wheel began shaking so violently it caused the driver to lose control and hit a cement median. Somehow no one was hurt and no other motorists were involved but someone could've easily been hurt or killed due to this defect. We then towed it back to Haldeman Ford for yet another warranty "repair". The third time we were flat-out accused of lying and that we had caused the damage ourselves. After going back-and-forth on the phone Haldeman, they flat-out refused to honor any warranty and would not help us unless we paid for everything out of pocket so we decided to retrieve our truck and begin the process of filing complaints and working with our lawyer and insurance company to see how this can be resolved without us spending thousands of dollars that we shouldn't have to due to a poorly manufactured and defective product. I've searched the issue online and there are thousands of motorists experiencing the same issue with their Ford so there is absolutely no reason they should be accusing us and pretending like the issue doesn't exist. As you will see from the uploaded documents the first instance of the defect occurred after only ~12k miles and the 3rd instance at ~27.5k. Please help us hold Ford accountable before someone ends injured or dead.

Doing 55 mph on the highway hitting a small bump in the road and the whole front end started shaking and had a hard time controlling the truck. The steering wheel was actually shaking. Had to slow down to get it to drive correctly. I haul a horse trailer and this could have been fatal. Took it two different Ford dealers and got two different solutions. One wanted to replace suspension parts and the other ordered a steering damper which is on back order.Took it in May 31 and today is June 9. Took vehicle to Westfield Ford and Willowbrook Ford in Illinois. Willowbrook R/0 Number 6373200/1.

Multiple times after hitting a small bump at anywhere between 35-60 mph the steering wheel locks and the entire truck shakes violently. It will continue doing this until I stop the vehicle completely. Once it started doing it again as I accelerated after it had stopped. It seems to get worse. I-??ve read it is a mechanical fault and causes -??Ford death rattle-??. It is very dangerous and I have almost lost control of the vehicle.
