We were driving on a highway at about 70 mph when the front of the vehicle began to violently shake as if we blew a tire. We slowed down to about 40 and the shaking abruptly stopped. This is not the first or even the second incident. No one seems to know what causes it or how to fix it.

Hit a pot hole, at 65 mph with the front wheel. The hole truck started shacking violently, and I about loss control. I stood on the brakes, and vibrated into the emergency lane. The whole truck stopped shacking below 45 mph. And was fine coming back up to speed, until I hit another pot hole. Please watch YouTube ford death wobble, ford states there is no problem.

While driving on a highway and hitting a small bump the truck starts shaking violently. It caused me to lose control and almost caused me an accident. This has happened a few times and I-??m now afraid to drive it. I have not taken it in for repair since this should be a recall that I should not have to pay for. There is only 10,525 miles on it. This flaw is going to end up getting someone killed. This problem started over a year ago.

When driving the vehicle at any speed and I hit any bumps in the road causes the steering wheel to shake violently and the front wheels to hop. Feels like the truck is out of control. I have to slow down to around 10 mph before I can gain control again. Very dangerous when this happens on the interstate and have to come to almost a complete stop. This has happened since I bought the truck new and has gotten significantly worse. Dealer looked at my truck and said nothing was wrong. This happens every time I drive the truck and I have less than 13,000 miles! I feel very uncomfortable driving my Ford F350 let alone towing anything with this junk. Very disappointing Ford Motor Company hasn't addressed this ongoing problem. I have purchased serveral super duties and this has been my worst experience. Very unhappy customer!

The vehicle is experiencing a very violent shaking/wobble after hitting a bridge seam or railroad tracks at higher speeds. The violent shaking does not stop until speed is reduced significantly (<40-50 mph). This could be very dangerous in certain situations such as heavy traffic, in a curve, or while towing. The shaking is so violent it certainly puts significant stress on steering components and could eventually cause catastrophic failure and complete loss of steering and control at interstate speed. A brief internet search indicates there are numerous others with this same situation. This truck design has evidently had this issue for many model years. This type of issue should not be occurring to vehicles that are relatively new.

Over the past two weeks of travel - approximately 3000 miles - this F350 experienced a violent shimmy at highway speeds (cruising between 55 - 68mph - max) seven separate times, with the last 4 events occurring 11/9/2021 in immediate succession (within 10 minutes of each other) when leaving kingman AZ - heading West on I40. Each time this violent shimmy seemed to be precipitated by running over rough sections of road or bridge transitions, this violent shimmy could only be cleared by slowing to approximately 25 mph. The pickup truck was fully loaded, close to the gvwr. Internet research of this problem has led me to believe it is a known phenomena among Ford F350 & F250 owners called "death wobble". very dangerous situation, think about it, having to slow to 25 mph from freeway speeds attempting to get into either the slow lane or shoulder - eventually an accident will happen if this "death wobble" is not resolved. I've reported this situation to my jim burke Ford local dealer here in bakersfield ca (where I purchased the pickup) and have schedule investigation and hopefully repair on 6 December.

While driving the speed limit of 60 mph. I drove over a bump in the road. The steering wheel stared shaking back and forth violently. The truck was barely controllable and could have ended in a deadly crash. The truck shook until I slowed to 15 mph. After getting home and researching the problem I found this is known as the death wobble. I see why it is called that. This problem is going to take people-??s lives.

Severe and violent steering wheel oscillation after hitting bumps at highway speeds without warning. Multiple incidents beginning at 20,000 miles, steadily worsening with time. Requires emergency out of control stopping on interstate in order to regain control of vehicle--putting passengers and other vehicle operators in severe danger. Ford replaced steering stabilizer but problem continues without improvement. Dealer confirms issue.

I was driving my 2019 Ford F350 65-70 mph on the interstate when I hit a rough patch. The steering wheel began to shake violently. I started slowing and merging into the emergency lane. The steering wheel did not quit shaking until I slowed down to about 10 mph. The truck felt nearly out of control during the event. An internet search revealed this condition to be know as a "death wobble". Within a few days, I took the a dealer to be inspected. The dealer replaced the steering stabilizer. My truck had app 30k miles on it at the time. It had the factory equipped Goodyear Wrangler tires. The truck has no modifications to the factory suspension or steering components.

While driving back from a dinner with family in Coeur d'Alene Idaho I was in I-90 heading west in my 2019 F-350 there was some construction and some bumps in the road I was going approximately 65 miles an hour and hit some of these bumps. My front end just started shaking extremely and I had to pull over to the edge of the Freeway and slow down I had no choice but to put my foot on the brake to help slow down. I almost thought I was going to bounce right off the edge of the road.

My 2019 F350 that only has 10,000 miles develops violent "shaking" episodes while driving down the road. I've had it for 1.5 years and it has happened at least a dozen times. I'm taking it in for it's second service and I'm going to ask the dealership to look into it. When I googled this it appears this is an ongoing issue with these trucks and the Ford Motor Company is not really fixing the issue. It is extremely dangerous and you have to pull off to the side of the road in order to get the truck to stop shaking.

Had the infamous "death wobble" happen to me over the weekend. Luckily, I was by myself and I was familiar with the issue. The steering wheel was shaking violently and it felt like the front wheels were hopping. I slowed down but the issue persisted, I then pulled to the side of the road, came to a stop and the shaking stopped. I've called the dealer this morning and scheduled an appointment for them to look at it. Its a 2019 F350 with 27k miles. This is the first incident, like this, that I've had.

While towing my 5th wheel travel trailer east bound on I-40 from Albuquerque, NM on 8/23/21, the truck and trailer started shaking violently after hitting some small wash board bumps. Only by quickly slowing down from 65 mph to under 40 mph was the situation corrected. After the shaking stopped I sped back up to 65 mph and everything seemed to be normal. A few more miles down I-40 the shaking returned, again after hitting a short section of wash board. This time was more violent than the first, so I pulled over and did a walk around looking for any obvious defects on the tires, wheels and observable suspension components. I did not find any problems, so I continued with my trip to Lubbock, TX. the phenomenon did not occur again. I have not had the truck inspected by a mechanic yet. I have researched this problem and found out that it seems to be a fairly common occurrence on Ford Super Duty trucks with four wheel drive. Why hasn't there been a recall issued for this problem?

The 2019 Ford F-350 goes into a violent shaking when going over a small or large bump on a highway or interstate. My truck has 40,000 miles on it and I have experienced the violent shaking of the truck several times now. Each time the truck begins shaking, it has to be stopped to relieve the shaking. Yesterday it occurred 3 times in a row on I-80 and we were shaking so bad that the truck veered off into the median nearly causing an accident. An accident nearly occurred earlier as the shaking began as we were passing a tractor trailer on the interstate. I have 3 drivers in my household and I cannot allow my wife or daughter to operate the truck due to the fear of shaking.
