Takata recall, I have a 2011 Ford Fiesta and the engine got messed up so I took it to a shop and they fixed it I paid 2,500 to get it fixed and when I'm driving my wheels go all crazy and all this sensors turn on and my door open last time with my 2 year old and my 6 year old inside and now it won't close.

I've only owned my Fiesta for 2 years and now my car won't move when I am in drive or reverse as I step on the gas peddle to accelerate. Before this, my car would jerk forward when I would go to accelerate and act as if it was going to stall out in the middle of traffic. I've taken it to Ford before to get the recalls fixed because my passenger door swung open while I was driving and they fixed the transmission and clutch recall but now I'm having problems again.

Engine stalls when pushing in clutch. I have had it stall at lights, stop signs and while down shifting. Has happened a couple of times while car is in motion but always when pushing the clutch in otherwise most stalls are occurring when car is stationary with the clutch pushed down while waiting at light or stop sign, etc. Car just stalls out. Generally it can and has happened anytime you push down on the clutch. I have had the car 2 months so far and have had the car stall at least 30 times already and at least 5 of those stalls happened while making a left turn going across oncoming traffic and once when halfway entering a round about. I have not had it stall once car gets passed second gear but I will not put anyone in my car as I've already encountered almost being hit a couple of times because of engine stalling out once the car starting moving. Please check into this as I have googled this issue and it seems to be a common issue with this car with no clear idea as to what is causing it.

While stopped (at a red light, stop lights, etc.), when the accelerator is pressed, the car will stall and not move. The vehicle acts as if it is off. I had to double check to make sure that it did not stall (which it does frequently). Once I pressed the brake and waited a few seconds, the car finally moved again. This is scary because it often occurs in traffic. Also, when backing up, the car will shudder while in reverse and act as if it wants to stall out. There will be times when it actually does stall and completely shuts down. I will have to turn off the ignition and restart the car before I can move it any further.

There was a transmission failure, electrical problems, and brake problems. The engine dies while driving. Although seven years old, it has less than 40,000 miles on it from it being worked on constantly. It is useless as a vehicle.

My vehicle has had a known problem with the transmission that shutters, stutters, and rattles upon take-off. There are many times that it will barely move when vehicles behind me are coming toward me. I have to really step on the gas to get moving, and even then it usually doesn't accelerate fast enough. Every time I get into my car, I could get rear ended. This problem is only getting worse. I purchased the vehicle in 2013.

The contact owns a 2011 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that while driving at 60 mph, the service engine warning light illuminated and the vehicle decelerated to between 30-40 mph. The contact also stated that there was an abnormal vibration while driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the clutch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 126,000.

Vehicle shudders and makes shifting noises when driving. Ford issued extended warranty that requires owners to bring the car to a Ford dealership, which I have done many times to get rid of the shuddering problem. This has not fixed the problem.

This was the certified letter I sent to Ford: On June 12, 2012, I purchased/financed a new 2011 Ford Fiesta at andy shaw Ford in sylva, nc. Unfortunately, the Fiesta has not performed with reliability or safety due to chronic transmission issues and has caused ample inconveniences as well as safety concerns for myself and my daughter when I am operating the vehicle. I am very disappointed because I have had the car serviced several times for the same symptoms and transmission issues. Enclosed are copies of the vehicle's service records. Each time, the service department has claimed to have fixed the problem. However, after a few months, I begin experiencing the same symptoms. On numerous occasions, I have experienced life threatening situations on the road while operating the vehicle (almost being rear-ended, getting stuck and almost being hit while trying to pull out of a parking lot or trying to make a turn across an intersection) due to the transmission malfunctioning/stalling/lurching forward and end up back in the dealership service department, yet again. I have also been in contact with a customer service manager regarding these issues, michelle (at 1-866-631-3788, ext. 77796), who has yet to offer any real, valid assistance. To resolve the problem, I would appreciate your replacing the vehicle with one that provides safety and reliability, at no cost to me. I believe I am entitled to this according to Georgia lemon law. I look forward to your reply and a resolution to my problem no later than November 21st, 2016. Waiting any longer will put my and my daughter's safety and life at further risk. ***Ford wrote back and denied my request for a safe, reliable vehicle replacement. They are ignoring the severity of the safety issue and simply told me to keep working with the service department.

The vehicle was purchased brand new. We have already taken it to Ford repair shops a number of times for replacement parts, repairs, recalls, etc. Recently, the vehicle would not start (among other continuing problems with shaking while braking, jerking when shifting gears--both of which we've already had worked on several times) so we had it taken to a Ford dealer near where we live. We found out the problem is with the transmission control module. It turns out that Ford has a csp for this problem. However, we did not know about it and by the time we started having problems, we were past the mileage for the warranty coverage. I am extremely displeased with this vehicle and the customer service we have received. I believe it is bias and discriminatory to repair problems you know about only if they are on vehicles with mileage under 150,000. If there is a known problem. Ford should fix it and fix it for everyone, not just people who do not drive their vehicle frequently. This car has had known transmission problems and numerous recalls already. The problem is, every time we have it worked on, it never fixes it completely.

I have a 2011 Ford Fiesta, my vehicle has a number of recalls out. (Ford recall number 15S16, field service action number 14M01 and 14M02). I had contacted the dealer November of 2015, they told me that they would contact me when parts were available. I have heard nothing for a year now. There are two recalls out having to do with the transmission.( transmission clutch shudder/transmission input shaft seal warranty extension and transmission control module extended warranty coverage). I have had my father who is a mechanic tell me that is why my transmission is going out. I have three children and the car is barely shifting correctly and I feel is unsafe to drive but being my only form of transportation I am forced to do so. I need something done, I feel that I shouldn't have to pay for a new transmission when if the recalls were performed in a timely manner I would not have any issues at all. Please help me resolve this issue. I am already paying so much on this car and getting no where with what I own due to all my payment going to interest. I cannot go without a vehicle. Please help!

The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the electronic throttle body failed and would need to be repaired. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 22,000.

Ive taken my car to the dealership around 4 times for the same problem. The fourth being the worst. The car will shudder, shake, over rev, low power when taking off and lack of powersteering and brakes. Its had its tcm reprogrammed to no avail! clutch has been replaced to no avail. Third time it stared again and had to get the car reprogrammed again. The last time the car would not drive over 30 mph without shaking shuddering and trying to find the right gear. Couple of times the car stopped while driving!! dealership replaced the tcm.on about the fourth time in. My wife drives our kids to school in this car and I have not confidence in its ability to sustain and deliver my family safely to their destinatation. Im currently making payments and have also tried to talk to Ford about a buy back or replacement and they said I don't meet or qualify for the California lemon law. They had pulled my records at the dealership to verify the car status. All actions that the car displayed and others have encountered have happened when pulling away to accelerate. A couple of my complaints on the service record was not recorded. I think the first and the last ones were however.

Transmission is jerking, specially coming to the stop, gears are slipping, car was in the dealership service center several times through the years to address this issue, but it never been corrected. Engine and transmission warning lights come on constantly, now the engine is overheating and the dealership is unable to fix. This car is defective and unsafe to drive. I purchased this car new from autonation and had it serviced/maintained by their certified service department, I had problems with the transmission from the beginning and was complaining several times, but it never was addressed and/or fixed

"takata recall had the vehicle approximately one week purchased from a private. I stopped at a stop sign and car died on me and left me stranded at a 4 way stop. I tried to get vehicle started and it started briefly and died on me. I was frantic as I am an older lady with my grandchild that was scared to death. I was pushed off the road by a concerned citizen who helped us push 2011 Ford Fiesta off the road. I had the unit towed and had motor replaced. The car still will not run and I have gone through all my saving on this piece of junk. It is now at a Ford dealership and they still are scratching their head and cannot fix unit. The was taken to a dealer were it was diagnosed that the air flow sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer again, but the issue could not be duplicated. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The failure mileage was 90,000.
