Takata recall, my car keeps jerking and stuttering to go I've had this car for about four about 4 years, I've took it to the shop about 5 times the workers told me there wasn't anything the could do after I kept taking it because the dual clutch would keep messing up yesterday while driving on the high way my car stayed at 30 mph it then started smoking so I had to pull over I then stopped my car and then my car would not start up until this day now I am stuck with a car note with no car

1) door latches are faulty. Any door can open while car is in motion. Also, door latch sensors are faulty and cause all interior lights to come on if it thinks a door is open. Happens within 1st mile driven every time since 80K miles. 2) in snow, the piece of body plastic in front of the front tires can get caught and dragged underneath the front tires. 3) electrical problems: Fuse box rusts, prongs break off in fuse box. Sometimes pushing clutch in would cause lights to dim or speaker static (manual transmission). Problematic 12V (always hot) routinely broke 12V devices. Dealership was unable to fix this at last warranty maintenance. 4) several dealerships were unable to solve or find the cause of any of the following: Brake rotor usually causes howling sound under 30mph after a few miles, (started around 50,000 miles) and car sometimes shut off while stopped & idling (rare, started around 70,000 miles). Also, manual transmission lever gets too sticky to move without extreme force unpredictably, (started around 25,0000 miles). Every time was told transmission fluid looks fine. 5) high pitched whirring sound and loss of power with ac or defroster, worse as time went on 6) car was sold because cost to repair faulty door sensors leading to headlights never turning off, thereby causing battery to drain below 12V regularly, exceeded the car's value. Car would not pass inspection with this issue & needed frequent jump starts. 7) extreme distraction: "sync" interface will cut off stereo audio without warning to try and connect to mobile phone for a vehicle health report in the middle of driving. 8) air flow sensor goes off frequently starting around 50,000 miles, only solution is spraying in lots of air flow sensor cleaner. 9) drivers side windshield wiper fell off about a dozen times, even dealership installed. Very unsafe car in my opinion.

My 2011 Ford Fiesta, shuts off without warning. Although it seems to be related to having the A/C or heat on, the issue has gotten progressively worse. My vehicle has less than 90,000 miles and the car battery has been checked and is reportedly in good condition. It occurs when I am slowing down to brake or pulling off but brake suddenly, the vehicle seems to stall and shut off.

2011 Ford Fiesta continues to have latch failures after latches have been replaced under safety recall notice 15S16/NHTSA recall 15V-246 Ford refuses to cover cost of repair of latch since their records show that it is repaired. First door latch failure in Oct. 2015 took it in and they replaced all 4 door latches. Next door latch failure in June 2016. Replaced under recall. Another latch failure in February 2017. Again replaced under recall. We have had a fourth latch failure Aug 2018. Passenger side door will not latch. Fortunately no one was injure and defect was discovered when the vehicle was not in motion. Ford is refusing to cover the cost of repair. This is a known safety issue and they refuse to cover it.

For no apparent reason, the car will randomly cut off, usually when idling. The check engine light never comes on. Multiple mechanics say there are no diagnostics since the service light does not come on. We've been told it's a known problem, but no recall and Ford doesn't know what the cause is.

"engine malfunction" displayed on screen once the car is shut off and restarted this notification goes away but came back 50 miles later while driving. Contacted Ford online and they could not tell me what the issue is. Contacting dealer in the morning, just wanted to start documenting this, there are several post from Fiesta owners with this same issue and dealership nor Ford Motor Company have not addressed or resolved the issue.

Faulty transmission. Had to be rebuilt around 35,000 miles, has still had all signs people have been having. Shuttering on takeoff, grinding noises, etc. Transmission failed on second incident and was told at the dealership it had no trouble codes and to let it completely fail the next time so they would tow it in. Now at 70,000 miles a warning on the dash has come on saying "transmission failure". this car was bought from paul miller Ford in lexington ky. This is unsafe and not an acceptable design from Ford. Ford has avoided the issue by telling us there is no problem and there are no trouble codes so service can't be performed. To tell people that a faulty transmission is normal and operating the way it was designed is wrong and should not be acceptable. People who purchased these cars need help to be treated fairly. As far as when the shuttering happens it happens when you first start to move from a stop and continues when the transmission shifts through the first couple gears. There have also been times when shifting into drive it has began going backwards when letting off the gas. As far as the date this happened below it is hard to give a specific date because it is they way this transmission operates all the time.

The right rear passenger side door flew open (it was stationary) upon trying to close it and lock it. The latch was broken. It would not latch at all, and I had to ratchet strap it closed just so the car would acknowledge that the door was in fact shut. When going up hills or turning, the door tries to fly open and the inside lights and alarm will sound notifying that the door is ajar. Also, when turning the steering wheel, especially at a slow speed, there is a loud click-like sound while driving. I had taken my vehicle to the dealership earlier and told them about the noise but never got any information from them, it was blown off as if it wasn't a big deal. I do not feel safe driving the vehicle due to the fact that it could be the undercarriage or have something to do with the steering column itself.

My car has been repaired 3 times and needs another repair for the transmission once again. In the past month this car has died on me while driving first time was at a intersection luckily I was able to pull into a gas station it was towed to carmax where they took it to joe myers Ford they had it for week and some days. In which case they couldn't recreate the problem so carmax had it for almost a month and couldn't recreate it either so they had no other choice but give me back the death trap that will take my life. Since having the car back it has died on me twice I called Ford joe myers they don't offer loaner cars and I don't believe I should pay for a rental for their problem. In both cases I was driving when the tool light came on and malfunction appeared. I was just driving minding my own business when it started to slow dow and stop. When I turn the car off it's like it never happened. Please help

Lock on trunk was defective or broke and I had difficulty sometimes locking the doors from inside the car when I started the car and drove it. I replaced trunk lock at my expense because the safety recall 15S16/NHTSA recall 15V-246 only replaced the door latches. Car mileage 33636.

This car was purchased with 54,195 miles on the odometer, it now has 58,000 miles 3000 of which I've didn't put on it. I drive locally, around town, don't even drive/go out sometimes 1 or 2 days wkly; I don't know how/why the excessive mileage is displayed. Perhaps for every mile driven, several more are included in the computer? the dealer checked on their computer system, and supposedly the their systems match. Since Jan. 2016, I figured to have driven, approx. 1000 miles. I am concerned furthermore, because I purchased an extended warranty on this car, and I don't want inaccurate mileage to void the warranty's stipulation. If there are any other occurances, with other owner's of this car type, please report it and have your mechanic check it out.

Tcm has been fixed three time in the last year under warranty. The extended warranty to 150,000 miles will be here before I know it. The transmission still shutters between 1st and 2nd gear. Also my speakers started crackling even with the radio turned off. While driving or having the car turned on my radio randomly pops and there is no sound from the radio, cd player, sync etc. It's scary thinking my car is only 5 years old and the system seems to be failing. I maintain my car regularly and to have transmission issues non stop and now the radio.(which I had a 2000 Ford Focus for 12 years and it never had these issues)

My 2011 Ford Fiesta SE will not start. Electrical issues, PCM possibly. When you try to start the car all lights flicker, battery is fine and continues to attempt to start even after the key is turned back in non-starting position. The radio and usb/charging ports don't work either. This potential repair is going to cost me more than this thing is worth. Ford shouldn't sell crap. I bought this car because I needed reliable safe transportation not to have a money pit with no transportation and a loan. I literally just spent $1000 at a garage for maintenance and it wouldn't start when I went to pick it up yesterday. Now the Ford dealership is guessing pm! I shouldn't have to pay for this, Ford should recall the PCM and fix the electrical or stop ripping people off with garbage.
