While pulling out into traffic, transmission shuddered and failed to operate causing traffic to come to a halt. This was the first incident. Several times afterwards, transmission would shudder and vibrate while shifting gears. Took to dealership in November of 2012 when this first occurred and they updated the transmission program. This update did not fix the problem. Returned to the dealership on February 22, 2013 for the same problem and they're reply, "This is Normal." This is not normal, this car is a death trap. I only drive this vehicle about 9 miles to work a day and I feel very unsafe driving it.

Apparently they have had problems with the clutch in the 2011 Fiesta. The car is an automatic so as a woman I really don't understand why it even has a clutch. Apparently it would have been better off without one.

Problems with the transmission since about 5000 miles, Had it adjusted twice and then transmission completely replaced. Went about 2 months and problems again, they said they did something with the computer to make it re-learn the transmission. at 28000 miles its doing it again. The bad thing is the warranty runs out at 30000 miles. Means we will be stuck with an expensive POS!! the bad thing is that this is a nice car, handles well but constant problems and worries about transmission. Any no anything about Lemon Law???

This car was for my teenage daughter and I consider a car that hesitates when you are passing or trying to go through an intersection dangerous. She almost got run over because of it. The car also stutters like it is jumping in and out of gear sometimes and it's an automatic not a standard. I thought originally that it might be happening because of fuel efficiency but, I have been driving the car a lot lately and it seems to be getting worse.

My 2011 Ford Fiesta has been in the shop since June-and it is still there-It's almost the end of August. It is under warranty. The transmission is messed up. The Ford dealership that I bought it from has been calling the main Ford headquarters for a while now to try to get the parts needed to fix it. They have supposedly been on back order this whole time. A Memphis dealership is stuck with 7 other Ford Fiestas with the same problems as mine. Ford doesn't seem to care about fixing any of these cars. They even have the nerve to tell people to stop calling with their complaints!!!!
