After getting a letter offering a clutch replacement, I brought my vehicle in to the dealership and all they did was diagnose it. Still lurches forward at lower speeds and there's a lack of power if you get on it like sea doo in deep water.

Clutch pedal will stay stuck down in manual transmission 6 speed. Intermittent, but repeatable (not every time but doesn't seem to stop happening) prevents car from moving forward when this happens. Clutch is disengaged while this is occurring. Can happen whether shifting stopped or while in motion. Lifting on the clutch pedal by hand (or foot) will reengage the clutch. Has happened when shifting from 1st to 2nd in an intersection, could not proceed under power in any gear till manually (awkwardly) reaching down and lifting pedal while traffic approaching me.

Aug. 11, 2019 went out to turn on the car and the battery was dead. I got a boost and the transmission malfunction service now light came on and the wrench light came on. I bought a brand new battery and the lights still didn't turn off. I took it to a Ford dealership had the fuel changed still nothing. Now the dealership is saying that there is something wrong with the transmission bearings. I do not have that type of money and I don't know what to do now I am still paying for this vehicle I've only had it two and a half years.

Major problems in my 2014 Ford Fiesta with the dps6 dual clutch transmission. At times you cannot get it to shift out of first gear. Very dangerous when you cannot get you car to go above 20 mph because it is stuck in first. Tach is hitting 7000 RPM's because you can't get it to shift. You have to keep slowing and accelerating until it finally shifts. Then the other major problem is when you shift to park it really is not in park. A warning light comes on the dash and warns the car is not in park even though I have parked and taken the key out. If I am on a slope the car will start rolling. You have to set the parking brake because there is no reliable way to get it to go into park. I have this is a know issue with these transmissions. Thousands of people have ongoing problems similar to mine. I have already taken the car to Ford once where they replaced the transmission control module. Within 2 months the same things were happening again.

My vehicle has been shuddering for years and until even the last day they explained that it was normal for that type of vehicle to react with the shudderings before taking off. The check engine lite keeps coming on and after driving for about a minute car does not reverse at all until cars shut off. Car right now is not being driven because its been a safety hazard for some time now. This is my only way of transportation. I now have been renting cars while I still pay off this car till this day. The Ford dealership has been lying to me. I hooked up the computer and got a low clutch dual control system error. I got the part changed out and car continues to have check engine lite. I use this vehicle to pick up my daughter every month. For years driving this vehicle never realized how Ford has put me and my daughter in danger by having these faulty vehicles with messed up transmission that didn't belong in these types of vehicle. I took the vehicle to get fixed once and they told me it was a recall and wouldn't happen again after the fix and it continued after some time to go back to its usual shake before take off. Like I said the last time I went for oil change and full inspection of vehicle at scarsdale Ford dealership the mechanic said he took it out for a drive and saw nothing wrong with my car. After I drove it out the dealership car continued to shake and knew that he was lying. They just dont want to fix the problem. Please help I owe over $4000 left on payments and this car isnt worth not even a penny for the danger it put me through everytime I took the car out for a drive. Whenever my car check engine lite came on was when I was on local roads and highway. The car as of now does not reverse but when driven it also doesnt change its gears properly it skips gear 2 sometimes and car shakes. Part 2: this is the second part of the complaint following the trade-in of the 2012 Focus I purchased brand new...so, sick of the Focus acting up all the time, I took it back into jim snead Ford, waynesboro, va and he encourages me to buy a brand new Fiesta. I did not complain as he was my sole main guidance and I thought I could trust jim. On 08/09/2013, I purchase a brand new Ford Fiesta trading in the 2012 Ford Focus. Jim snead allows only $961 trade in value for the Focus and I lost $23,690.68 on depreciation and monthly payments! I buy the Fiesta and the same thing happens again. The car's tires spin when accelerating from a full stop then the vehicle jumps out forward. The car rides rough, it bucks, it misses, it makes noises, it shudders. This time I am not very happy nor pleasant with Mr. Jim snead. I was a teacher, a widow w/ two kids still dependent on me and here he sells me another 'crap', terrifying car that seems to have a mind of its own. Of course, according to Mr. Snead, it is my driving--not the car. I notice that the service department is not writing up my complaints every time I bring it in about the transmission-just like they left it out of my complaints with the Focus.the Fiesta receives its first of 3 transmissions a year after I purchased the car on 09/23/2014. While I am driving around w/ the service manager so he can feel how terrible the car runs, he admits to me the car is a bunch of junk and I need to start reading up on it. Now the Fiesta is in the shop often and Mr. Snead and I are not very friendly.I have all the service records, but I have to write in the car is running raggfed as the service department will not put it in the report. I want Mr. Snead to buy the car back, but he refuses.every month that rolls by is a disaster waiting to happen w/ the Fiesta. Another 'dollar bleeder', unsafe car!!

I purchased a 2014 Ford Fiesta new in January 2014. It has the infamous dps6 transmission. It was explained to me that it is a standard transmission in an automatic box. It did the shudder from day one. I didn't think there was anything wrong because I had driven many standard transmission vehicles over the years and figured it was supposed to act that way. In January of 2018, I had stopped at a red light on a busy street in Colorado springs, co where I live. The light turned green and my car would not shift out of 1st gear or go faster than 5 mph. I pulled to the side of the road and after sitting there for 20 minutes and shifted the gears box from park to neutral to drive, I finally got back on the road and the car shifted but very slowly. This was on a Sunday. The next day I made an service appointment with phil long Ford where I purchased the vehicle. They knew immediately what the problem was and told me it would be covered under warranty. I took the car in to them that week and they ran the VIN and it was not in the warranty batch to replace the clutches. They called Ford and asked them to cover the repair. Ford declined. The service adviser gave me Ford's 800 customer service line. They built a case based on my information. A day later I received a phone call and email telling me that it was not covered under warranty and Ford would not give me any financial assistance. Phil long Ford estimated the repair at $2,200 but since Ford would not cover the cost and I purchased the Fiesta from them, they did the repair for $1,500 out of pocket cost. I'm just a simple working man and can't afford those types of repairs. I had to put the charge on my credit card. I will not purchase another Ford due to their total lack of concern and not taking responsibility. The car still doesn't operate properly.

My car never accelerated reliably, especially in lower gears. The transmission would constantly shake and shudder. My wife finally refused to drive it anymore after the car repeatedly responded exceedingly slow to her pressing the gas pedal when trying to cross traffic. She would be stopped, waiting to cross traffic. When there was a long break in traffic, she'd press the gas and car would crawl ahead much more slowly than you'd expect with how far she pressed the gas pedal. Oncoming traffic would then catch up to her and have to slow down until the car eventually made it across. This happened multiple times when I owned the car. The date I note in the "when did this happen" field represents the date I had the first clutch repair done on the car (at 18,756 miles).
