Unable to get dealer to honor recalls or progarm due to no parts available at redlands auto center in redlands, ca; phone # 909/793-3211. Seeking help from NHTSA in this matter. When consumer shut off vehicle, the keys would not come out of the ignition, the steering wheel lock would not function, and the automatic transmission lock did not work, the dealer found a sticking solenoid and replaced the shifter assembly.

I was downshifting to stop at a red light when I heard a pop and then something fell at my feet. I took the car to a local Ford dealer. They said that it was the clutch tension spring that broke, and they have seen the same problem 2 times prior. I called Ford and there is no recall for this problem.

A spring under the clutch will break off and hit driver in the leg which almost caused an accident. This part has broken 3 times within a 5 month period. Consumer stated they were not fixing defect, only replacing part with the same design.
