The contact owns a 2013 Ford Focus. While driving various speeds, the gear slipped into neutral. The vehicle shuttered extensively and was extremely difficult to drive. Mankato Ford (1935 madison ave, mankato, mn 56001, (507) 387-3454) diagnosed and replaced the clutch assembly, but the failure recurred. The dealer was aware that there was a warranty campaign for the vehicle and took an extended period of time to provide the clutch assembly. When the failure recurred, the manufacturer took a long time to provide the part for the power train control module replacement. The warranty campaign had since expired. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was initially serviced for the manufacturer's power train recall campaign number: 16S30, which also failed to provide a permanent remedy. The manufacturer was contacted and did not assist. The failure mileage was not available.

My current problem is after fueling up my car it starts and then stalls, then the next restart it turns over about 5 to 10 seconds and starts and then has a erratic idle and it may stall again, or if I manage to take off it will run ok, unless I have to stop within a 100 yards, and it then may stall again, or have a erratic idle around 2000 rpms, then idles down to the 750 area if I'm lucky, only after fueling up. Every start afterwards starts and runs fine until the next gas up. I have an engine code I believe they said was a evap code, my fuel tank is starting to concave on the bottom. I talked to my dealership and they said I'm not part of the recall, although he said I fit all the parameters of the recall, but my VIN number its in the system. I'm looking for help and hope someone can contact Ford ! ps this is on going and very dangerous! thank you, very disappointed in Ford. Ps ps the transmission is another forty pages of info if you ever have the time to talk.

Takata recall. The transmission has a shutter/slip in between 1st and 2nd gear and this is a problem with this year and car. Ford had even offered to buy these cars back. My car is a 2013 Ford Focus titanium. It does it every time I take off. Now my car wont start because the clutch is stuck and Ford is telling me I'm out of warranty - clutch has been replaced 3 times already and they want to charge me $2,300 to fix an existing and ongoing issue they know they have.

Transmission has never worked correctly, brought into Ford to have recall of part of transmission repaired. Never shifted correctly into next gear, sometimes jerked and sputtered and makes grinding noise and was told that it was because engine was 4 cylinder. Early in 2018, electrical system shut down. Dash lights of defrost, door lock no longer worked. Trunk stopped opening, radio stopped working and all that was heard was loud static sporadically with or without radio being on, and dome lights no longer worked either. Brought into Ford dealer and was told car needed new clutch (due to transmission never working correctly) and was no longer covered under warranty. Was told the electrical system failures were due to battery, which was replaced outside of dealer with no fix to problems at all. Was told need to replace radio which was no longer any good, car less than 5 years old at this time and that the trunk latch needed to be replaced. Was told none of the issues on the car were covered under warranty. Also received information in 2016 for class action law suit regarding my vehicle due to transmission issues.

I called Washington Ford in Washington, pa on 1/17/2019 regarding a check engine light due to Ford Focus recall (purge valve). They scheduled an appointment for 1/30/2019 to fix the recall. Took my car in on the eve of 1/29/2019 and dropped it off. They called me the following day to say they didnt have the part available. They instructed me to pick up my car and said they would call when part came in. I had an inspection scheduled for 2/7/2019 and they told me it would come in prior to my inspection. I never heard from them but called back a few times, telling them I had new codes coming up on my obd sensor (fixd) the car had been running rough, stalling out while idling/stopped.. they assured me it was safe to drive. They did not get part in by 2/7/2019 and I missed my inspection. Two new codes came up on my car and I called angrily on 2/14/2019 to ask if they need me to take car to a different location, and they told me they were just about to call me to tell me parts came in.. we scheduled for 2/22/2019 to have recall fixed. They told me rental cars aren't covered under this recall when I explained the problems with scheduling so many appointments and having difficulty finding other transportation. On 2/17/2019 my car shut off while driving, on a major road (route 40). I was able to coast down a side street and pull into driveway at the bottom of the hill. Had the dealership fixed the problem the day they originally scheduled me, I would have a working car. Now, I'm afraid more damage has been done, as there are 7 total codes on my obd sensor(there were 3 when I first called about recall). The dealership should have never scheduled me when they didn't have the right part in stock, or a rental car should have been provided until they corrected the problem. I'm very unsatisfied with the customer service level at this location!

2013 Ford Focus, was bought new from dealership and has had clutch issues from beginning. The car stutters on acceleration, shifts hard, and occasionally there is a delay when the gas pedal is pressed. A recall was performed on this car and the clutch was replaced, but still had same issue. This car has been seen 8 times for this issue, and has never been resolved. The clutch that was replaced during the recall has failed the performance test, but the dealership will not replace due to expired warranty. Recently another recall was issued on this vehicle due to a stuck cannister purge valve. This causes the engine to stall and the fuel meter to read incorrectly. This caused me to run out of gas on the highway when my gas meter reported I still had half a tank of fuel. On 11/29/18, the dealership performed the recall and believing my fuel meter to now be accurate, I ran out of gas again at a quarter tank full. My check engine light is back on and it is again throwing a code for the purge valve. This car has several safety issues which Ford dealer has been unable and unwilling to remedy.

Vehicle purchased in 2015 with less than 20K miles. 1st problem, exploded tire causing minor body damage and sensor damage. Thankfully just came from a stop sign and not traveling fast, no injury. 2nd problem, driving down road at approx 35mph when airbags suddenly deployed. Wondered if hit small animal. Got out to investigate.....nothing. Vehicle then rolled off road (decline in terrain) landing rested in a chain link fence. Upon inspection, discovered that motor mounts had failed causing motor to drop forwards towards radiator therefore indicating crash and deploying airbags. All components connected to motor ripped forwards as well. Thankfully also no injury. If that would have occurred at high speeds, serious injury or death could have resulted. There is no reason or excuse for failure of motor mounts. This is clearly a defect. Contacted Ford at the highest level number I was able to obtain. Requested only to address safety issue. They issued a claim, dismissed it and would not allow me to speak to anyone with the authority to address the issue. Contacted Chevy dealership where vehicle was purchased, they said Ford would have to address the issue. Then took vehicle to Ford dealership to run diagnostic to evaluate why airbags deployed. This vehicle contains a module that contains data pertaining to airbag deployment. It is as simple as retrieving the data! only Ford field rep can do this. Towed vehicle to dealership to perform diagnostic to next be referred to rep for data retrieval. Employees of dealership were not allowed by their supervisor to examine the vehicle due to the extent of damage under the hood. Someone needs to be concerned with the integrity of the motor mounts on this vehicle. Other vehicles may have this problem as well. If mounts were to fail at high speeds, catastrophic crash would be eminent. Damage from crash would hide failed mounts as cause

My car start shuttering on acceraltion and shifting funny. I did some online research and a lot of people said there was a recall on the clutch. I called Ford immediately for schedule for the recall but they told me it's not longer a recall. I was under the impression that recalls were good for 10 years and also thought that Ford had to notify me yet I never even knew about the recall and now I cant seem to get it fixed. Is that right?
