Back at the end of June, first part of July I had a check engine light on and then the next day it was off but some stupid "my key came on and not it regulates my speed and volume. I am not paying over $200 to have it removed. But the most important thing is the clutch on my transmission is out and Ford won't replace it for free and I dont have the money to fix it. I believe Ford should fix it for free since they can't build good transmissions.

Clutch was repaired and now a part of the new clutch needs replacement and they don't want to help me! I know it's part of the recall!! now I can't use my car because I have to pay $2K out of pocket to get it fixed! when I know it's the recall. It's the clutch!!! also.. the attached work orders.. were not given to me when I purchase the car. But they were in the car manual book. And it's says the car was already having transmission problems at 15 thousand miles! if I would've known. I would have never purchased this vehicle! this car is a lemon!!!

I purchased this vehicle in 2016. A week later I took it back to the dealership, they drove it said nothing was wrong. 8 months later I took it back over the transmission, they drove it, said nothing was wrong, about 7 months ago I took it in over the recall on the door locks, requested the transmission be checked as well. Nothing was done on the transmission. I just learned from the Ford Motor Company about the extended warranty on the transmission module and clutch assembly. The dealership did not tell me about this. I now sit with this vehicle with no way to get it to the dealership, and no offer of help from them. They want me to have it towed and pay $ 110 dollars to put on a machine. I am on a fixed income and can not afford to do this. This issue should have been addressed one of the three times I took it in. The transmission has jumped, jerks, lunges, reduces speed pull out since I bought it. Now it goes to neutral while driving and you have to pull off and put it in park, wait and put back in drive and hope it catches. It's to dangerous to drive now so it's parked.

Repeatedly the speakers will randomly pop very loudly, even when radio is off, and the speakers will not function again until car is restarted. The loud noise is very startling and dangerous. It occurs at irregular intervals, when moving and not, and with radio on or not.

Was driving and heard a very loud pop and crack noises. There was no audio and the car wouldn't let me turn the radio on nor off. While this was happening the pop and crack noises still continued. I did some research and it turns out these Ford radio are known to do this and I just want to report it as a safety issue due to the fact that when my radio is off the noises are still going on and they are very loud. This could cause other people accidents and is very irresponsible on Ford behalf.

I've not had a fuel gauge since my 4th warranty repair (turbo replacement turned catastrophic and incurred warranted engine replacement as they blew it in shop and had it for almost three months) and I am not happy at all. And I am now gonna have to go back and get it fixed as this is dangerous for me. I keep a gallon of fuel I'N my car, so I'm basically huffing fumes all the dang time im in my car.. I must keep a gallon of fuel in the car due to the sudden stalls and the subsequent crank, wont start issues. Up until after my car was "repaired".. I didn't have issue until id done run out of fuel and or run out of outa fuel and stalled in most precarious places whilst in motion and driving down the road. I'd run out of fuel and my car would sputter and die. I've walked up to 12 miles to get to a gas station luckily. I am not cool with this [xxx] cause I bought it with lil to no mileage and new off the lot.... [xxx] has a ring to it if anyone could help... to an erratic at best case I've been stranded with no phone, no food nor water at least three times. And they think I'm gonna bring it in for service and allow them to screw me over again? don't think I have a lot of trust for Ford no mo.... I hope they stop playing around with people's lives as seemingly expendables and wasting our valuable time and money. I've lost a job from it and that's no joke. Focus

  • 10,000 miles
The car was difficult to drive from day one, hard to steer and keep on the road, along with the transmission problem, had it checked several times and told there wasn't a problem with the steering, then it it started making a grinding sound when the wheel was turned, kept getting worse until the car was not drive able, and it was stored. The transmission was recalled, but told the steering is not. Ford says it needs a new rack and pinon but is now out of warranty, as our complaint we turned in when it was under warranty had been wiped out, due to a new computer system. It only has 32,000 miles on it, and now they want $2200 to replace the rack and pinon.

Car shudders when starting from a step position to an accelerated speed. Example: Sitting at a stop light and when the light turns to green and gas pedal applied the car shudders or does not move. When it doesn't move forward when applying the gas pedal it feels as though the wheels are just spinning. At other times the car will automatically jerk forward when not intended. At other times the car doesn't move forward when you apply gas the pedal. I have had the transmission replaced 4 times. I have had several software updates. I have had seals replaced. Car transmission is broken on the inside per dealer, there are articles explaining that Ford knew about the problem but still put the car out for purchase. Currently I do not have a vehicle to drive to work. I was told by Ford I would have to pay for the problem although it is an internal problem with manufacturing.

The horn stopped working approx. December 17, 2019. Vehicle has about 155500 miles. Horn does not sound when vehicle is locked using key fob. Horn does not sound when center of steering wheel is pressed. One traffic incident already required the horn's use and it was not available. I verified myself that the fuse works and also that the relay works. I also accessed the horn itself and tapped it which made no difference. The horn is an important safety feature although used infrequently. It is not subject to wear and tear as a wiper blade would be.

Took my Focus in to have a customer satisfaction recall clutch replacement for the automatic transmission. I experienced bad jerking and acceleration issues. The dealer replaced the clutch 2 1/2 months ago. I'm now at the dealer with my engine light on on and severely bad jerking and shifting issues again. The dealership diagnostic says I need 2 transmission shift levers replaced (levers a &B) cost in excess of $1000. This transmission as a whole is defective. Why is Ford getting away with this"?"
