Airbags did not deploy during car accident. Airbags recalled by takata are far more dangerous, basically dead airbags. The vehicle was in motion, another recall with the carpets being recalled as well, resulting in excessive speed from the carpet pressing on the gas peddle, causing the accident.

Takata recall I got my first recall notice back in early 2016 when I lived in morgantown, West Virginia. I was told I will be contacted when the part is available. I am living in jackson, tenessee. I received a notice saying the part is still not available, and that is two and half years later. A lot of inconvenience has caused. I tried to drive the car without a passenger on the front passenger seat. Several times, when my other car broke down, I had to drive my Fusion with my wife on the passenger seat. This is a constant timing bomb if accident happens and the air bag inflates. I hope Ford will fix my airbag within 1 month, which is a reasonable time after waiting for two and half years.

For at least two years now I been getting recall letters and no parts are available and if this is a recall for safety for my airbag and they have not been able to resolve the problem then they need to be held responsible for the issue. I had purchased this car new and was the only owner with low miles for years on the car. I also had a problem with the power steering box some switch that controlled the pump kept leaking and leaking and I replaced it at least once a year and it was a manufacturing part of Ford as I only serviced my car there.

Takata recall - I have received several letters from Ford over the years in regards to this takata recall involving the passenger side airbag inflator. However their letters always end with a statement about how the parts are not available and when they become available they will contact me. I took the car to a nearby dealer and they told me the same thing, that parts are not available and they will contact me when they are. So really, I have been waiting for parts for several years. A letter I received from Ford in December 2017 suggested that I not allow anyone to ride in the front passenger seat until the repair was made! so I feel like I am riding around in a timebomb. I had also received a letter from takata themselves several years ago, stating that my car was also under a recall for the driver side airbag inflator as well. However I do not have that letter any longer - I think it was left at a dealer when I attempted again to get the repairs made. I am seriously considering trying to get a new car, but that will be difficult for me since I am on disability with limited income. I was given a number in accordance with this recall: Safety notice 16S26 / NHTSA recall 16V-384. I was also given a case# at the dealership where I last took the car to attemp repairs: Case# cas-15045865. Since I am still waiting for parts, I am going to put the date of the oldest letter that I have in the box below that says "when did this happen".
