My 2007 Ford Fusion was on recall notice for a year or so but no local dealerships had the new replacement parts and then I got ran off the interstate and hit a tree at around 60mph and the air bags deployed and shrapnel went everywhere and cut my face and neck up good. I was digging little pieces of plastic and metal out of my face & neck for months! - (recall related incident)

I took my car to have the airbag recall fixed and the dealership told me my airbags being replaced won't make my airbag light on the dash go off. It is something something else idk they wanted to charge me to diagnose it. It just doesn't make sense they are fixing the airbags yet the airbag light will not go off even after they are replaced. My 2007 Ford Fusion was purchased in 2011 and was financed, and I paid it off in December 2017. It since then only it has a 144,00 miles. It was purchased with lower mileage, of an estimation of 40,000 to 50,000 miles on it at final sale meaning it was a 2007 car, purchased in 2011, so that's a problem when before it had been paid off, and major problems of many. I would like a refund of a lesser equal to or equal value to my purchased car price from manufacture or dealership. The two recalls issued that I have not taken care of yet, and other problems with cheap made inside door handles broke easily, being hard plastic/metal, this makes getting out of my vehicle a major safety issues along with the other issues of airbags and brakes and other safety issues.

Upon remedying the recall, to adjust the affected "passenger side" airbag, whereas the finalized maintenance resulted in the Fusion's diagnostic fault code, of which has delayed the absolution of passing an inspection this sensor hasn't "ever" illuminated 'til after the repair was completed it remains "on" whether a passenger is in the seat or not

The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time to repair the vehicle. Peacock Ford (1875 S orlando ave, maitland, fl 32751, (407) 644-7111) was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available and were on backorder. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. While the vehicle was being operated, the front driver and passenger air bags unintentionally deployed. As a result, the contact rear ended another vehicle. The contact mentioned that the seat belt on the passenger side was not operable after the crash. A police report was filed and the contact was provided a crash report number. The contact sustained chemical burns on the right hand and left forearm. The passenger sustained unknown injuries that required medical attention. The vehicle was taken to peacock Ford, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The manufacturer stated that they had no record of the contact reaching out to them. Takata recall I spent a total of 1.5 hours on the phone with Ford dealerships in my area. None of the five contacted had the part to repair. The earliest one service department said was '5-7 days, but call us if you don't hear from us after 7 days...you know, to make sure we ordered the part'...excuse me what? I called another dealership and the guy said two weeks before they would even get the part, and when I said 'that's too long', the loser replied 'ok cya!' not only am I angered by this recall, time wasted today, the lack of parts available (and yes I understand there are 'priority groups', I've done my research)...but when I exhausted all options and gave in to calling 833-221-3566, the woman on the other end was difficult to understand and transferred me to a dealership forty five miles away. Come on. A shot in the dark of '5-7 days'...after the time I've already waited (and waited, and waited!) is not a reasonable amount of time. If the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is 'A-okay' with me traveling another mile in an automobile with defected parts that could kill a driver (me) or passenger (cousin, father, friend, daughter)...that's disgusting. I, along with everyone else affected by this recall, should receive a safe, loaner vehicle until the part is available and replaced. The wait isn't the issue. It's the fact we are risking our lives (and the lives of others) with the damaged goods we were sold. Feel free to use this, share it with Ford and their absurd excuse for 'customer service', print it out, or throw it away. I had to share my complaint with someone who can actually do something about it. Thank you.

The approximate failure mileage was 117,526. The vehicle was destroyed.
