Dash is peeling, I know for a fact, there are many other cars have the same issue. Suppose, Ford used some bad glue from Mexico. Replacement is to replace the whole air bag?

I noticed the dash board around the airbag is separating about 2 months ago I tried to push the seam back down but it still puckers. Yesterday I tried to start my car and there was a continuous clicking sound coming from the dashboard and the security lock light and airbag light were flashing very fast. I just parked the car about 1 hour before and there was no problems until I came back to start it. I tried for about 1 hour but could not get it started. I have noticed there are a lot of complaints on this car and the same issues. This does seem like a recall issue. I wanted to support american made products from one of the oldest american auto makers. I am hoping you can fix this issue because I need to get the work and this is my only transportation. I live in an area where there is no public transportation. Thanking you in advance.

I have seen many complaints about the dash popping up around the passenger airbag. I have been having the same problem. What I want to know is why nothing is being done about it? my car is a 2008 I've had it for 8 months and about a month ago this starting happening. This is a manufacturers defect not wear & tear.

I've recently noticed my passenger air bag cover is starting to separate from it's adhesive. This is an alarming safety issue for me as well as any passenger that maybe sitting in the front seat. My vehicle is a 2008 Ford Fusion. When I purchased the car there were noticeable issue. My concern is if on the off chance there is an accident will be passenger be safe and will front passenger air bag to deploy.

I had noticed a few weeks ago my passenger air bag cover is starting to separate from it's adhesive. This is a major safety issue for me and any passenger that sit in the front seat. This has got worse over time and I purchased the vehicle roughly a little under a year ago. At that time the car was not in that condition. No one sits with their feet on the dash and I have a visor. I could be hit at a slow speed which would not warrant my bags to deploy but could, and this would cause my other front air bag to deploy as well. There are tons of complaints about the air bags not being deployed when it should. There are a few complaints about it separating. The manufacture should step in. Car is barely 5 years old with me being the 3rd owner. Issue should not be happening.

Noticed passenger dash upholstery, in front of passenger air bag was buckled, and popping up. Two different Ford service managers advised that this was a manufacturing defect and that the air bag might not deploy properly due to the dash protruding. They both took photos and Ford refused to address because my vehicle is out of warranty, by years. I only have approx. 34,000 miles. I feel that this is also a safety defect, if my air bag operation might be affected. I was advised that the entire dash needs to be replaced and it is approx a $1,000 repair.

The contact owns a 2008 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that the cover for the passenger side air bag started to bubble and detach from the vehicle. The failure had not caused the air bag warning light to illuminate. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was advised that the failure was common and that the cover could be re-glued, but there was no guarantee that the solution would permanently correct the problem. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown, but the current mileage was 34,000. Updated 08-07-12 the consumer stated Ford wanted to charge $1500 to re-glue the cover to the air bag. Updated 08/09/12

I waited at the light until it turned green light/green arrow and proceeded to turn left. Another driver ran that red light and struck me on the driver side front left wheel area. Neither airbags deployed! not the side or front airbag!!! I sustained multiple injuries including fractured clavicle and bruised shoulder, neck, and side. And large bump on back of my head. No airbags deployed!!!!! I'm starting an investigation...

On June 17, 2011 my daughter was driving my car and I was the passenger, we had stopped at a four way stop. When we had the right away we proceeded across the intersection. We were struck in the intersection by a driver who ran the stop sign. She was traveling around 30 to 35mph and struck the passenger side of my car, smashing in the front passenger side door, also the front support where the window shield is attached. Also the middle support where the front and back doors attached, along with the top and bottom supports of the vehicle. The door had to be cut off the vehicle to remove me out of it. The vehicle was deemed a total loss. My concern is that the side curtain air bags did not deploy in a crash of this nature. Why even have them if they do not work.

I was driving our 2008 Fusion on winding roads near our home in wnc. I was into a switch back turn and was approached by an oncoming vehicle which was on my side of the double yellow line. I did not have to swerve but allowed plenty of room for the other vehicle to pass. As they passed I was pulled into the snow and ice and off the road. I hit the side of a mountain and came to an instant stop. Our vehicle has sustained many thousands of dollars worth of damage ie front end bumper and sheet metal engine cradle broken, frame floor roof buckled doors on the right side windshield. All this damage with no air bag deployment or seat belt interlock! I was driving approximately 30 to 35 mph and sustained several injuries among which are; facial lacerations and contusions, knee injury resulting in bruising and contusions and reinjuring of recent shoulder surgery. I also am seeking legal advise as to Ford liabilities.

I was driving home from work on rt. 511or lorain street in oberlin, Ohio. The light on lorain and S. pleasant was flashing. I had the yellow flashing light I was driving 35 the speed limit and a girl with her two children did not stop for her red light and I hit her T-bone. My airbags did not deploy and my seatbelt did not lock. This forced me to grip the steering wheel with my hands and as I did this I bruised my arms, chest from the steering wheel trauma. I raised up from the seat and hit the top of my knees and they are bruised. I was taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital for treatment and release. I missed 3 days of work and still have pain in my muscles and trauma to my body. I have contacted Ford Motor Co. For their response. I feel I should be compensated due to my injuries and missing work. And if I had been driving on a highway and this happened I could have been hurt worse or thrown through the windshield. There was extensive damage to my car and I have a rental for over two weeks I have to drive. I would like someone to check into Ford Motor Co. I will seek legal counsel if this is not resolved.
