Some 2020-2023 Mustang vehicles may exhibit a configuration failure when trying to program a BCM for field service action (FSA) 23C35. This may be due to the Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) software level. To correct this condition, make sure the IDS software is at R130.04 or newer when configuring the BCM. If the state of charge (SOC) is less than 50%, charge the battery by attaching the battery charger's negative clamp to the engine or chassis ground and not the negative battery terminal.
