Going on two months now since receiving notification letter from Ford and still no parts to repair the passenger air bag recall 15S22 NHTSA recall 15V-322. I called local dealer and also Ford main office. No body has any answers except when parts are available they will send us a letter.. seems to me they are dragging their feet complying with this recall. Anything you can do to motivate them to comply?

Approximately three weeks ago I received a recall letter from the Ford Motor Company concerning the air bags on my 2005 Ford Ranger. The letter states that it is possible that injury or death may happen should the air bag deploy. Today I called Ford Motor Company 1800-241-3673 about my concerns (should I drive this vehicle knowing that there is a safety issues?) I spoke with a a person named isabilla that was very nice, but of no help as she could not or would not say weather I should drive my vehicle or not. I then asked to speak with her supervisor she passed me on to a ( cris, badge number 63614 ) his bottom line was the parts are out of stock we will let you know when they come in, I can't tell you weather its safe to drive your truck or not. You can take your truck to a Ford service center and have them inspect it. I asked if Ford would pay for the inspection he said yes and seemed to be getting anoied that I continued to ask questions. He then said that Ford would would not pay for the inspection and that there was no more he could do for me. I then ask to speak to his superior he stated that he did not have a supervisor that he was the top person there and that was it. He also patched me through to parsons Ford service dept to get rid of me. So now I ask what am I to do "? do I drive my unsafe vehicle Ford says its unsafe.do I park it?" I need my vehicle.

My husband T-boned a semi at 35 mph. The truck spun around and the rear of the truck also hit the semi. The airbags did not deploy. He incurred multiple injuries, some of which could have been minimized had airbags deployed. The truck was totaled. There was a direct hit -- I.e. front of truck hit side of semi and destroyed engine (and more), yet air bag did not deploy..
