Some 2019-2020 Ranger crew cab vehicles may exhibit excessive latching effort when returning the rear set backrest assembly to the upright position. This may be due to oversized rear seat backrest bumpers preventing latch to striker engagement. Vehicles built on or before 04-Feb-2019 may also have excessive deadening material inside the rear seat backrest latch. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure Steps.
