Some 2019 Transit Connect vehicles built on or after 28-May-2018 may experience a lack of power steering assist or a power steering fault message in the message center. It is important to avoid cycling the ignition switch. Charge the battery and remove the vehicle from transportation mode. If diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) U3003 and U2011 are stored, attempt to recover the PSCM by performing module programming. If the vehicle has DTCs U3003, U3000, U2011 and the PSCM will not communicate with the diagnostic scan tool, replace the PSCM.
