1995 Ford Windstar engine head gasket failure - Ford will not admint to a defect in quality. This van now sits in my driveway for over a year and no one will fixit for under $3500. Problem is that because of the defects in this van, the value of it is $1000. I also put two transmittions into it, water pumps, thermostats, radiator and no one informed me of a potental defect with the head gaskets

The entire engine was replaced, however the vehicle continued to have engine problems, the transmission side pan gasket, heat, power window, defroster, door switch assembly, were all replaced, the dome light would stay on continuously, and the right caliper was leaking.

The Windstar was at a full stop at a stop sign. As the gas was applied steadily to start out a loud noise was heard and the vehicle failed to move foreward. Transmssion failed and would only work in reverse. We backed the van off the road and had it towed to the dealership. We were instructed that the transmittion would have to be replaced. It is the third transmittion that has been put in this van.
