Rain leak into car, water pouring into frame and trapped in frame of car, roof of car. Water leaking out of airbag locations. When we drive, we can hear water moving around in frame, see water leaking out of airbag areas in frame of car. Water trapped inside frame of car, rotting inside of car, mold, mildew potential, fire hazard. GMC says they are not responsible for repairs, car no longer under warranty. How can I safely drive a vehicle in which both the airbags and electrical system is compromised??

There is a potential fire hazard with the daylight running lights overheating before they burn out on both driver and passenger side. The bulb gets so hot that they melt the bulb socket causing an electrical fire hazard. The heat also has made the headlight housing brittle and cracked to where the socket wont stay in place inside the headlight housing thus causing the bulb to lay on the plastic causing a fire hazard. General Motors knows about this fire hazard because I have called it to there attention and because they have a customer satisfaction program #13135. They have also recalled some 2007 and 2009 to 2011 vehicles but not 2008 with the same problem.

I purchased this vehicle from the GM dealer in anchorage Alaska on Jan. 27, 2014. At approximately 63550 miles, during a hared rain storm, water entered the vehicle from some point. It poured out of the interior heating fan cover, under the glove box on the passenger side of the vehicle. It covered and soaked the floor mats and insulation around the area. In order to determine the extent of the leak, I removed the glove box and the heating system fan cover. The fan cover was completely full of water. I removed about 3 cups once and only hours later it was full again.

While attempting to maneuver out of a parking space, my wheels locked up. Still thinking the wheel had turned enough, I attempted to clear a cement bea, however the car rolled into it. I was told that the tire had detached from the car "rod under the car" which prevented me from turning.

Bought our GMC Acadia Dec. 2011 had no issues till Jan 2012. Since then it has been back to the dealership repeatedly for seemingly linked problems. Started with just a dead battery upon further investigation found that the wiring harness was submerged in water, causing battery to short out, replaced the battery and fixed the apparent point of entry. Not two weeks later back in the shop, water pouring from the head liner (around the interior lights, sunroof moldings, and seat belt joints). Our Acadia remained at the dealership for three days with no luck of finding a leak (checked all drain lines and ran the vehicle through the water machine). Here we are again vehicle has been at the shop for a week with no luck of finding the point of intrusion; this time the water leak shorted out the entire fuse panel. After trying to find the leak for over a week, sending the vehicle to another shop to "get a fresh set of eyes on it", and contacting GM for advise (which was no help) the dealership still has been unsuccessful in locating the water leak. Not sure what to do next. All I know is we bought a $30,000 car so we wouldn't have problems and here we are with problems, expensive problems.

Cause code: 6021 - component damaged/cracked, reverse clutch plate replacement reading various forums, these seems to be a problem with all lambada platforms, hundreds if not thousands of transmission failures, creating a major safety concern for myself and the public. GM needs to replace these trannys with a new more durable/reliable design before someone is seriously injured or killed, its only a matter of time. Please confront GM with these complaints...thx townhall-talk.edmunds.com/webx/.F215073?displayrecent.

2008 GMC Acadia slt has severe water leakage inside the cabin that cause significant damage to interior carpeting and panels. Electrical problems also begin to happen such as back up assist disabled, air bag light flashing, rear windshield wipers not shutting off and more I am sure will happen as water enters the cabin and areas that you cannot see. This is a potentially dangerous condition that needs to be recalled and addressed by General Motors. Fire hazards and injuries due to malfunctioning equipment might occur. There are videos and plenty of complaints from other owners on the internet of this same issue and I am shocked that no actions have been made by GM.
