This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have Service Power Steering message on the Driver Information Center. If Diagnostic Trouble Code C056D is stored a Service Programming System update to the Power Steering Control Module will fix the concern. If Diagnostic Trouble Code C0545 is stored replacement of the power steering gear assembly will fix the concern.
