This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that may have excessive dust intruding into the cabin. Technician can update the Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning control module which will close the recirculation door 90% when in recirculation mode. If the customer would like to keep the factory calibration in which the recirculation door closes off 100% of the outside air, please advise the customer to place the Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning system in fresh air mode while traveling on dusty roads.
