2019 Sierra 1500 slt Defective front camera surround only 51,000 miles. Forward collision warning not work, lane departure warning not work, intellibeam head lights not work. Replace camera with labor at the dealer cost me $860 dolls.

Rear view camera starting working intermittently. Took vehicle to dealer to repair. Dealer updated software and the problem persisted the same day. Random screen for just the backup camera will be either blacked out or blue stating to service rear camera system. Have taken my vehicle back to the same dealer three separate occasions to resolve this issue to no avail. Now that my warranty is expired they have a fix that will cost me out of pocket. They are offering cost assistance but the problem was never resolved in the first place.

The volume controls on the steering wheel keep getting stuck going up causing the volume to go all the way up and won't let you turn it down. This has caused me not to be able to play music because when I do it hurts my ears causing me to swerve.

Back up camera gets fuzzy and has lines going through the screen when I hit the brakes. This is a safety issue as my nephew ran behind my truck and I could not see him.

A blue screen with the "service rear vision system" appeared intermittently when I put my truck in reverse. At first it would go away once the truck had restarted. I had the dealer service department check it out but they said they couldn't replicate it. The camera system is not always in a blue screen regardless if I select camera options from the infotainment menu or if when putting the truck in reverse. The dealer is currently having issues with GM providing the right "calibration" to fix this issue. When the camera was working, a strange issue occurred in addition to blue screens. The right side camera turned off and removed visibility from that side of the vehicle through the infotainment screen. I feel this is a huge safety issue since my visibility is severely hindered when reversing in dark or dense conditions.

After shutting vehicle off, there's loud noises coming from behind the steering wheel that sounds like relays.

I received notice that there are two recalls out for my truck: A brake system recall and a forward camera/collision recall. Had both recalls performed and immediately the forward camera collision alert, lane keep and intellibeam systems didn't work. Delaer informed me there is a problem with the update and I need a new camera. That is on order and pending. More importantly, about 2 days after the updates the truck showed alerts about the brakes, traction control and stabilitrack systems. Upon driving the truck the power/vacuum assist system failed and the brake pedal nearly went to the floor before engaging brakes; I could barely stop. Returned the truck to the dealer and was told its a common issue with the brake recall update (the truck had no such symptoms before the update). If you check out various GM vehicle owner forums you will see scores of Silverado and Sierra owners with the same two issues post-update: No collision camera and sudden loss of brakes. There is a problem - a very dangerous problem - with these updates.

When you reverse at night time...the backup camera comes on at maximum brightness and cannot be dimmed...blinding the driver
- Beaufort, SC, USA
This morning when I used the backup camera it was perfectly fine. Once I get to work and started backing up at a slight turn bc I was parking next to another vehicle it gave me a blue screen saying 'service rear vision system'. it also does this while stationary. This is a highly unsafe problem to me, because it doesn't allow me to operate the vehicle safely putting me and others at risk.

The backup camera is not visible at night. It's grainy and blurry
- Mentor, OH, USA
The rear view camera is fish eyed and the resolution is terrible especially at night. The dealership at first said that the camera was operating, after contacting GMC they looked at it and now say there is a problem. Now I see that they are having problems with these camera.
- Pittston, PA, USA
The backup camera on the infotainment system is blindingly bright at night. When you put the truck in reverse the backup camera pops up on the infotainment screen and blinds you making it a huge safety hazard as you cannot see anything out your mirrors. This needs corrected so there is a brightness control to allow the screen to be dimmed so that you can see when backing up.

Had serious braking issue power brake all at once reduced brake efficiency almost ran into oncoming traffic before I got stopped check engine light came on and warning in info box came on GM even describes this problem in the owners manual is in shop now 11/19/19 howard bentley albertville al was moving

Gps infotainment screen is to bright at night and there is minimal adjustment that also dims the instrument cluster so that you can't see it and controls. After dimming everything together instrument cluster and the gps screen and placing the vehicle into reverse the screen goes into full brightness if you put it in drive the screen goes to the front camera and is dim like it was before placing it in reverse. There is no contrast or dim option for just the infotainment screen. The only option is auot day night all are very bright and dull gray looking lacking contrast. It's very difficult to drive at night with this screen blinding you non stop the only thing you can do is place a rag over it. I can't drive the truck at night it is very distracting to me and I don't feel safe.

My 2018 GMC Sierra has vibration at highway speeds 60-75 mph. After several hours of driving the vibration can be felt as low a 20 mph and up to 75 mph.

When I am driving my truck, I will get notifications saying that there is a trailer disconnection issue when I don't even have a trailer connected. It also flashes an alert saying that the lane departure system and pedestrian sensor are being effected. As this is going on, the infotainment screen flashes on and off as well which is very distracting. They have continued to come on in cold weather after I have taken it to the dealership to be looked at. I don't know if this is a hardware or software problem but it needs to be addressed because it becomes both a large nuisance and safety hazards when you have errors messages and lights flashing while you're driving.
