This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician the steps to diagnose and repair vehicles with a Malfunction Indicator Lamp on. Technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Code P16F3. If the Diagnostic Trouble Code is set in the Transmission Control Module technician will need to contact General Motors Technical Assistance Center for further assistance.
