Summary
This Preliminary information communicates diagnostic tips on finding root cause of a hoot noise. If the technician confirms the hoot noise is only present while the torque converter clutch is applying the technician should advise the customer that  the noise will diminish over mileage and should dissipate after 3,000 ? 4,000 miles of driving and does not pose a durability concern.
