My Yukon's dash is cracked in several places, some extending 14 inches interfering with the passenger airbag. This is a safety concern for myself and my family. The second large crack is located above and behind the steering wheel on the dashboard as well. Nothing was dropped or anyway I or my family cracked it. After researching, this is a common issue with my make model and year. I believe GM should own this defect and protect its loyal drivers and consumers, rather than wait and see if an airbag doesn't deploy properly, god forbid, risking the lives of innocents. I served my country in iraq because I chose to, GM can choose to defend its consumers as well. Even a discount on repair or replacement would be appreciated as I know people just expect everything to be given to them. Thank you for your consideration

Takata recall. I am unable to get the airbag replaced due to a lack of replacement units. I called today and the dealer(days Chevrolet) does not have replacement units. My original notice from GMC is dated July 2016. I discussed the issue with GMC in January 2017 and they said no parts were available. I have called three other times in the period of time up to now. No parts. Why is there not a plan to address this serious safety issue? it is now two years from the first notice.

Takata recall after receiving a notice regarding the recall I contacted a local GMC dealer. I was told that takata has filed chapter 11 in the U.S. so the parts for this potentially deadly airbag recall are not available while "things get sorted out". that doesn't make me feel very comfortable as this is a vehicle driven by me or my wife with our 3 children inside.
