Passenger brake light inconsistanly will work one day then stop working. The next day it will be working again. The brake light is an led strip and cannot be replaced. This has been going on for months and the car has 10K miles. We never know if and when the light will be working. I have been taking pictures documenting the brake light and it appears to work for 2 weeks then goes out for a week and then comes back on for two weeks.

The brake lights continuously work and then don't work. There is a malfunction with the brake lights in these cars. Please report your issues so GM can stop robbing us.

Rear passenger brake light stopped working. Internet searches indicate that it is a frequent problem with many complaints. Most notable is the dealer cost to replace - $600 - $800 per fixture due to it being a sealed unit after warranty has expired. GM needs to fix this problem. A recall is definitely in order.

The right rear brake light and running light has gone out. Appears to be a common problem. You can't replace the bulb like older cars. You need to replace the whole brake assembly for $700!!! GM knows about the common issue but is not covering it.

Both rear tail lights (brake and running lights) are not functioning properly. The passenger side isn't working all together and the drivers side will sometimes be on and other times not. The dealership wants $679 each side for replacements. This seems like quite a big expense for a safety issue that GM needs to address.

Led brake lights went out. When I did a search on this problem, discovered that many others having the same problem with their Yukon. Dealers charging astronomical prices to fix. Leds are supposed to last longer than regular bulbs. These light assemblies have a well known weak spot that causes them to go out. GMC has come up with an updated assembly. They should issue a recall and replace the original weak assemblies with the new ones.

At less than 3 years old both taillights have quit. They are a sealed assembly so the whole side needs replaced. We were quoted $750 each. Our three year old Yukon has no taillights and will take $1500 to replace. I'm disappointed in GM to say the least.

The contact owns a 2015 GMC Yukon. While driving 65 mph, the brake pedal was depressed, but the brake lights, tail lights, and the interior rear brake light flickered. The vehicle was taken to delano Chevrolet Buick GMC (600 1st ave, delano, ca 93215, 661-735-4974) to be diagnosed and repaired. The diagnosis results were unavailable. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 92,000.

I was told my a collegue that my drivers side brake light was out. I took it into the local mechanic and it was not out. A few months go by and I am told again, that my drivers side tail light is out. I take it to a different shop and it is working correctly. The very next day a truck tells me at a stop light that I have no brake lights. I was pulled over by a police officer for not having properly working break lights. He let's me go with a friendly notice, but as soon as I started my vehicle to drive away he immediately pulls me back over to tell me that he was mistaken that only my driers side brake light was out. This has happened intermittently over the last three to four months.

The brake lights on 2015 and newer GMC Yukon, Yukon XL, denali, denali XL vehicles fail due to poor quality circuit metal/design of board allowing too narrow a connection for metal used. The result is a crack in the circuits metal which, depending on conditions, breaks the circuit and the tail lights fail to work. Specifically brake lights fail first putting the driver of the vehicle in an serious safety situation with no indication that the failure has happened. In addition, the safety of drivers behind a GM vehicle exhibiting this problem are at serious risk as they may not realize the vehicle is coming to a stop. GMC is refusing to cover the issue and requires $800 per light and openly acknowledges that the new light can do the same thing at any given time. I don't normally go so far with an issue, but this seems particularly dangerous and warrants a recall. With the lack of indication other than courteous drivers telling you the lights are out or police pulling you over to tell you, the issues often start within warranty period but no way to know. Numerous reports of tail light failures with new vehicles indicate that the issue is not related to age. As with my lights, no physical damage to the light at all eliminates some kind of impact outside of normal road bumps. Hopefully action can be taken.

My vehicle is currently a little over 3 years old and I have owned the vehicle for the last 2.5 years. I am highly upset that the vehicle is in great condition, however the front driver side led strip in the head light is out. I purchased an extended warranty for almost $2000 when I bought the vehicle which they will not cover. I also have the back passenger tail light out and I am told that the whole panel needs replacing. A total for the led strip and back panel will cost close to $1900. Why in the world is it that and led light is supposed to last 5X longer than a regular light, but it just goes out" that makes no sense. If the vehicle was 10 years old, that is one thing, but it being still on the new end, makes no sense. Also, how does the whole back light panel just go out" and why do dealerships act like " oh well, there is nothing we can do!" GMC must be lowering their standards. Had I known this vehicle would have these problems and no one seems to want to help, then I would have never bought it. Something needs to be done, especially since I have spend the last 30 minutes reading a forum of a large amount of others having had the same issue.

Driver side brake led lighting is working intermittently. Had it replaced under warranty. Passenger side brake led lighting now working intermittently, new issue. Have not had replaced yet due to outrageous cost($700) for fixture replacement. Only 40,000 miles on vehicle obviously reflects a serious safety issue to financially strapped consumers.
