This Preliminary Information communication advises the technician to check for an engine build code of K and the dates between 15005 and 15117, the customer concern is an engine oil leak at the oil filter location of the oil pan. A loose oil filter adapter is found to be the cause of the concern, tighten it to 55 newton meters or 40 foot pounds. It is also advised to clean any residual oil from the oil pan area.
