Consumer was involved in a 60 mph frontal collision in which driver's air bag did not deploy. Also, it has been determined that air bag sensor was crushed.

I have contacted Honda regarding both these problems. They have agreed to pay 25% of the total cost. I feel that since there are so many complaints about both these problems for this year car there should be a recall - even the Honda mechanic told me that if I traded this car in Honda cars of corona would have to repair both items before they sold the car because they are safety problems. Honda should pay the entire cost.

Vehicle's wheels were on the grass. After inspection at Honda dealership, they found an one inch hole in the bottom of the steel plate under the air bag deceleration detector. It is believed a metal object hit the bottom of the car and set off the air bags.
