SRS light came on for 1996 Honda Accord V6 ex without any incident. Dealer diagnosed and could not understand the error code and suggested replacement of SRS control unit. Not changing the SRS control unit might cause airbags not inflate when required. The cost of repair is $800 and not necessary it would fix the issue. I searched online and found this is very common problem with Accord. Such safety related problems should be recalled by Honda.
