I have the option of either driving my 2000 Honda Accord with the potential for an exploding airbag or disabling the airbag- neither are good options. In speaking to a Honda representative (case # 10346220) they told me the chances were very slim that the airbag would cause harm- however, they refused to provide me with any information regarding the chances of the airbag causing harm. The representative told me she could not send me that information but I could look it up myself online. Honda should provide me with alternative transportation until an airbag replacement is available. They have refused to do this. At this point I am not allowing my children to drive this vehicle and I have disabled the airbag through removing the fuse. Honda should either offer to purchase this vehicle, provide an alternative vehicle, or provide some other form of compensation while this serious issue is outstanding.

On February 20,2020 I took my car to the dealership to get the recall repair. They sent me home in an uber and told me it would take about an hour and a half and said, they would call me when it was ready. About 3pm I called them and asked is my car ready yet and I was then informed this is a new recall and the parts wouldn't be in til around mid March. American Honda sent me an important safety recall letter in March.
