I bought my (black) 2001 Honda Accord EX in late 2004. About a year and a half ago the hood of the car began to look horrible. The paint appears to be a combination of turning white and eroding. One 'car' person told me it was from not waxing it enough... sun damage I think he said. Bogus! There are plenty of cars older than mine that aren't doing this. Then I thought maybe it was wrecked before, since it was only on the hood... and now jumping to one quarter panel. That theory was soon busted when it jumped to the roof of the car.
I see Accords (especially the darker colors like black and green) all over Baton Rouge like this. There had to be a bad batch of paint or some lack of quality control when these were rolled out. Does anyone know of a class action suit or a group trying to hold Honda accountable? There must be something we can do. I may start a website specifically for this matter.
