The consumer was driving a 2005 Honda Accord hybrid. At approximately 45 mph consumer's vehicle hit another vehicle and ended up in a ditch. There was front damage to the vehicle. Upon impact, the air bags did not deploy. The other vehicle was hit with the driver's side front end. The highway patrolman on the scene stated that the airbags should have deployed. The vehicle was towed, and it has not yet been inspected. Consumer sustained severe whiplash. There was a police report taken. The other driver was charged with failure to yield right of way. The other vehicle, 2000 Volkswagen, was totaled. There were six airbags on this vehicle and none of them deployed.

Consumer states her vehicle collided with a truck cabin that was left abandoned on freeway 280 in palo alto, ca. The vehicle was traveling at approximately 60 mph. The vehicle spun several times and side swiped another vehicle parked in the vehicle service lane. It landed in the hillside of the freeway. The vehicle safety features included front, side, and panel airbags. None of which deployed. The vehicle has been declared a total loss by american express property and causality insurance. It is presently located sturken auto body in san jose, ca. It is scheduled for immediate towing by the insurance company to iv company in North hollywood, ca for salvage. There was a police report. The consumer was injured in this vehicle. There maybe other injuries because there were 4 other vehicles involved. The consumer has not seen the police report yet. The truck cabin was unavoidable; the car on the side of the freeway had hit it first.
