Used to love Honda.....Not a Fan! Premature wear on rear brakes due to the Electronic Brake Distribution. Honda will only reimburse you for $150. of the repairs after you have paid out of pocket and send the receipt in. Ridiculous! Brand new 2010 car with only 15,000 needing rear brakes is a JOKE!

Surprised my 2010 Honda has a rear brake problem. After some research I realized Honda has had some rear brake problems for the past few years. I spoke with a Honda Service Manager today and was told I may be replacing my rear brake pads ever 15,000-20,000 miles. The service manager advised me that there is a current Class Action Lawsuit involving premature wearing of the rear brake pads. I was advised to keep good records of the maintenance I have done on my NEW vehcile! I'm very disappointed at this point and will let other people know about the problem I'm having.
I had a 1999 Honda Accord for 11 years prior to buying my 2010 accord and I never replaced my rear brake pads. When I sold my 1999 Honda Accord it had 250,000 miles on it.

16708 miles 85% on the freeway. Brake pads on the front 9.1mm pads on the rear less then 1mm. This is very disappointing. I feel taken advantage of. I have a 16 year old son i am looking for a car for Honda has been taken off the list.
