Bought Accord 2011 SE on July 22. After first week of ownership, I found it hard to adjust the driver seat to a confortable position. It started giving me either leg pain or back pain or shoulder/neck pain. The seat feels so hard and impossible to find a good position to drive for more than 10 min. Thanks to the power seta, I kept adjusting the seat while driving but could not find a good position. Called Honda, they asked me to call dealer. The dealer advised me to trade in the car. Only if I had felt this during my test drive..ahh....too late now. Not sure what to do. Dont want to loose thousands of dollors in replacing the car, but cant see myself driving this car up to 150,000 miles.

The front seats in my 2011 Honda Accord LX-P give me leg cramps and lower back pain. The seat bottom is very hard and unforgiving, and the lumbar support is too pronounced. I test drove the car for 15-20 mins. And did not notice this. But I sure noticed it on my 30+ min. Commute to work the first time. I've tried numerous seat adjustments and seat cushions to no avail. I'm 6'2" 170 lbs. So I don't consider myself an abnormally sized person. I actually considered trading in the car after a few weeks for a substantial loss. I really hope Honda does something to address these uncomfortable front seats.

I just purchased my new 2011 Honda Accord ex manual transmission car on 8/12. I'm very satisfied with the car except for two things. The front seats are very hard and the headrest is at a severe angle that forces my head forward with my chin down. I normally sit with my back against the back rest with the back rest at a fairly upright position. In my other cars (1994 Saturn SL2 and 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe), this was not a problem. With the 2011 Honda Accord my neck gets stiff after about 30 minutes. There is no adjustment allowed on the headrest and the only relief is to set the back rest to a reclined position and sit upright with my back away from the back rest. I know other 2011 Accord owners are complaining about this problem but no response has been made from Honda. I've complained to my dealership about this problem but they have no solution. I need Honda to respond by providing a replacement headrest with a less angle of incline and/or a headrest that allows for adjustment to other angles. The front seats are very uncomfortable. During the 10 minute test drive my wife and I had no problems with these seats. During a 1 hour trip we both realized we were very fatigued and our legs were starting to become numb. On the return 1 hour trip home we felt the same sensations and by time we returned home we were both feeling back and leg pain and fatigue. I've been assured by two sales people at the dealership that the seats will 'break in' and become softer and more comfortable. I've never had this problem in the other new cars I've driven or rented. I've never heard other drivers with this problem in their new cars either. I cannot believe a new car with many great features and a great driving experience can have such uncomfortable seats. I also understand that these seats have airbags installed and cannot simply be replaced with non-standard seats or with seat cushions or covers. This cannot be normal and should be resolved by Honda.

I want to make you aware of how new ntsa regulations for the design of head restraints have injured me physically and financially. I traded in a 2000 Toyota for a 2011 Honda, only to find that the head restraint gave me severe neck muscle spasms. The dealer explained that since 2008, all new cars must follow updated nthsa regulations in head restraints. I went to many dealerships to find a head restrain that I could tolerate. All of them had the same pain-producing, federally-mandated style. Finally, after much searching, I found a Ford SUV that had a more tolerable head restraint. I was very relieved because I was afraid that I would have to buy an old used car in order to continue driving. I have mild neck arthritis, and your new style of head restraints caused me such discomfort that I was willing to sell my 5 day old Honda Accord (with 225 miles) and lose thousands of dollars (due to depreciation)! in addition, I worry that the head restraints are hurting other people. I am a physician, and I know that chronic repetitive stress can sometimes lead to severe injury. With so many dealers and customers complaining about the new head restraints "not being comfortable, " I suspect that the new restraints are causing neck strain to many people. I just happen to be more susceptible because of my neck arthritis. Perhaps you can use me as a sentinel chicken to realize the problem that you have created. Please consult with your advising physicians about whether the nthsa could be inadvertently causing neck strain and eventual neck injury to millions of people. I don't want this experience to happen to anyone else. Regulations should help not hurt. Yours have hurt me physically and financially. Please allow manufacturers to redesign the head restraints so that they are comfortable as well as safe, or at least give options to people like me with medical problems.

The contact owns a 2011 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the driver seat was extremely hard and was making it difficult to sit properly while driving. The vehicle was inspected by a dealer and they advised her that the vehicle was designed in that manner and the construction of the vehicle could not be modified. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and they offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 400.

The driver seat is very uncomfortable. It causes numbness on the legs and the buttock, and lower back pain even with a short trip of about half an hour. Cannot find a comfortable adjustment with the 10 way power seat. I find myself keep shifting sitting position in an attempt to find a more comfortable position. This is very distracting on the driving.

After purchasing car drove home after a few days started noticing pain shooting down legs and legs going numb. Also causing back pain and on occasions pain shooting down arm. Contacted local Honda dealer and was told that they did not have a fix. This is a danger because it makes it difficult to concentrate on driving and sometimes you cannot feel the fuel or brake pedals.

Uncomfortable driver's seat in Honda Accord 2011 LX sedan. Can't drive for more than 45 minutes at a stretch without squirming /shifting in seat and this may cause accidents. The driver's seat causes back pain plus thigh pain after extended driving or 45 minutes lumbar support pillows, thigh support pillows does not help much with back or leg pain. I had a Camry Solara and I own a Mercedes and they don't give me back problems.

Bought a brand new Honda Accord 2011 LX-P in the second week of March. The front seats are very uncomfortable. The lumbar seems to be out of place and hurt the back and neck. Firmly believe that the seat design in not correct. Unfortunately, did not know about this before buying the car, else would not have gone for one. The seats design needs to be investigated and recalled by Honda to fix the problem and save people from the back and neck pains.

Driver seat is causing chronic back pain. The seat has adjustable lumbar but, above that, the seat has a hard section that protrudes directly into my mid back. After a month of ownership, the pain is so bad as to make the car effectively un-drivable.

Just purchased a 2011 Honda Accord. The drivers seat in this car causes you legs to go numb after about 30 miles (a definite safety issue). Since experiencing the problem I have found countless forums online with people experiencing the same thing, this problem has been going on since 2008 apparently and Honda has not addressed this issue. This seat should be recalled immediately. If having your feet fall asleep while driving isn't a safety issue I don't know what is.

Honda 2011 drivers seat is exceptionally unconfortable to the extent that I have back pain from driving even short trips. I have not yet found a way to eliminate the discomfort. I've tried a back support, and various cushions to no avail. I have had 5 previous Honda (2 previous Accord, 1 Pilot, 1 previous Odyssey, and currentlty have an Odyssey) models with no complaints.
