I own a 2013 Honda Accord ex-L V6 with 7520 miles on hit. I approached my gated community on Friday evening, June 28, 2013 at approximately 9:45pm, hit the remote to open the gates, placed my foot on the brake and there was no brake reaction whatsoever. The car continued to roll forward. Fortunately, the gate opened before I hit it. I continued to my home, checking the brakes and they appeared to work, opened up the garage and was putting the car in the garage when I put my foot on the brake and again the car's brakes had no reaction and I hit the wall and door leading into my house. The weather conditions were clear and no rain. Fortunately, the car has minimal damage; however, the house has substantial damage. I am unable to close and lock my kitchen door leading from the garage into the house. I have researched this problem, and this appears to be a problem with this year along with previous years.

During braking, as you are getting close to stopping the car, I feel little jerk before the car completely stops. This jerk is like couple of times and can be repeated. This probably due to improper ABS system. If you move to neutral and then brake, this issue is non-existent. I suspect some electronic aspect with mechanical brakes creating this jerk.

Front brake squeal when driving, steering or applying brakes. Sounds like the wear sensors but in fact I was told by the dealer (bay ridge Honda) in brooklyn N.Y. that it is the clips that hold the pads in place. I was also told that Honda is aware of this problem and they are waiting for the repair parts to arrive along with the service bulletin.

Iam hearing a squealing sound when applying the brakes. Thought it was the brake wear indicator so I che ked and pads are fine. I then googled problem and was surprised to see that Honda is aware of this problem. My car VIN# is shown to be included in the affected group. The brakes seem fine but this is very annoying for a new car. I will contact plaza Honda first thing tomorrow.

I have the same problem as NHTSA id# 10504663 dated 3/27/13. Front brake squeal- sounds like the wear sensors but in fact I was told by the dealer(bayridge Honda) in brooklyn N.Y. that it is infact the clips that hold the pads in place. I was also told that Honda is aware of this problem and they are waiting for the repair parts to arrive along with the service bulliten. Hope it is soon because for a new car it sounds bad and I wonder just what this rubbing of the clips my be doing to the rotors. So far, no real brake problems except for the squeal. I had a 04 Accord exl V-6 and sometimes I wonder why I traded it in.never had any trouble with it.....

Front brakes make a loud screetching noise at any speed. Car was brought to the dealer 5 times. Repaired 5 times according to Honda service bulletin. However the problem only gets worse. Honda states that they are aware of the problem, but currently there is no repair yet available. I was informed that the vehicle has a faulty brake pad retention spring and the brake pads are loose.

I just purchased an Accord 2013 exl-V6. The other day I was driving normal on the highway doing around 60mph on the highway, the car in front of me slowed down a bit, so I slightly hit the brakes and they completely locked as if too much force was applied and I lost control of the vehicle almost causing an accident. The car did not allow me to stop braking and seemed like it was it control and not me.

Came to stop at stop sign. New Honda Accord 2013 4 door suddenly tried to accelerate. I pushed down as hard as I could on the brake to stop the motion forward. It only moved a foot or two and with my wife yelling I was able to get it into neutral. Scared the life out of us. I am 51 and a financial professional. My wife is 52 and a physician. This was completely real.
