Don't install an after market amplifier and sub woofer. The anc system will cause a loud buzzing sound when you first turn on the car and put it in gear. Don't be like me and waste money like I did because Honda has yet to address the issue.

The contact owns a 2013 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the bluetooth function would not disconnect properly. As a result, the contact would have to remove his eyes from the roadway, reach down and attempt to reconnect the bluetooth. The contact would also have to shut off and restart the engine in order to establish a connection. The manufacturer performed a software update during production, but that update failed to remedy the failure. The failure mileage was 25 and the current mileage was 500.

Our 2013 Honda Accord ex-L is equipped with a right turn signal blind spot camera which activates when the driver initiates a right turn signal. The dash console display screen gives the driver a view of the blind spot area. The screen also displays the area directly behind the car whenever the driver places the car into reverse. On the day specified, the right turn signal camera activated as I was merging into the right lane, but then, instantaneously, the display system froze, popped repeatedly, and then went to a dark screen--much like static on a television set. This has occurred more than two dozen times, even after my local dealer replaced the unit. On other occasions, the rear back-up camera either freezes, pops, and goes to dark screen or freezes in position--while I am driving forward down the highway. I have taken the car to my local dealer five times already, and, as of yet, they have been unable to fix the problem. The whole system pops, freezes, and reboots itself multiple times each day. Sometimes it is necessary for me to stop the car, turn it off, and then turn it on again in order for these features to work.

I was pulling away from a stop sign and had accelerated to about 15 mph. All of a sudden the car slowed down and stopped. I stepped on the accelerator and the car didn't move and the engine shut down. At the same time all the dash warning lights came on, including check engine, the big exclamation mark, anti-skid control, and the electric steering wheel warning light. I put the car in park and was able to restart the engine. At this time I noticed all the warning lights were still on, including the fcw light in the center of the speedometer with the message fcw failure. When the car was checked at the Honda dealership they could find no codes related to the above issues. They did find code dtc P2176 set for throttle actuator control not learned stored in history.

After starting the car, the forward collision warning came on and said failure. At the same time, all the other warnings were on( I.e. electric power steering, engine warning, tire pressure warning vehicle stability assist warning etc.) also, the econ assist went off. Did not drive it until wed. Took it to the nearest Honda dealer. After inspecting the computer readout, said I would have to bring it to them with the warning lights on. Said he could not determine the trouble with the warning lights off. The lights continue to come on and the fcw continues to show failure, but its not a continuing problem, only intermittent one. Very difficult to get to the dealer after hours or on Sunday, with the warning lights on.

I have purchased a 2013 Honda Accord touring model. It is equipped with a front collision warning system (fcw) which has a radar sensor in the grille. The system alerts can be set for long, normal or short. When set for long the alert should come on about three car lengths away from the vehicle ahead. If the system determines a collision is possible, it should give both visual & audible alerts, including a heads-up warning that flashes on the windshield. The fcw system is not working as it is described in the owners manual. In fact it only alerts @ random times. I have had the dealers technician check it out on highways, main streets & local streets. He could only get the system to give an alert once when the car ahead was standing at a red light. The alert came when we were about one car length away from the vehicle ahead. He tried it again @ the next red light & it did not give any alert. I have tested the system at all speeds & distances driving behind a car driven by my wife, no alerts. The technician said the system does not seem to be working & he would call american Honda to get information on how the system should work. Have been in touch with american Honda & at this point in time they do not admit that there is a problem. I would have no problem having them or any third party check out the fcw system.

The contact owns a 2013 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while reversing from a parking space, the back up camera and the warning chime did not activate to notify the contact there was a vehicle in close proximity. The contact crashed into another vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The technician was unable to diagnose the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. There were no injuries. The approximate failure mileage was 100.

This car has push button start on and off. The engine can be cut off with car in any gear and it does not have to be in park. I left the car in drive on a hill and went to get out and the car was drifting forward. I bought this car for safety features and this is a great concern. Has collision, lane change warnings and they are so low you can not hear them. I am 67 and my husband is 71 and this is not a safe car for our age group.called Honda and the warnings can not be cut up and there is nothing can be done about car drifting if you do not put in park. Very disappointed.

My new 2013 Accord has a serious safety issue with the user interface to the phone and music. The phone book, xm, and usb music are displayed in long lists. My 32 gb drive has 300 albums. My full collection has many more. The problem is that there is no fast way to scroll these lists. The driver must reach to the furthest-right knob and twist. This moves the list down one item. So selecting any list item while driving takes the driver's eyes off the road, causes bodily contortions (it is a long reach), and makes I impossible to actually scroll more than a few dozen places down the list.
