  • 58,000 miles
Constant error warning 'fcw system failed' pops up while driving, many dash error lights turn on, and all ABS and vsa systems are deactivated. System usually resets when car restarted but the error happens again within a few minutes of driving. Took car to dealer, who diagnosed it as vsa modulator unit is defective and needs to be replaced. While this is a very expensive part and disappointing that a critical safety system would fail this early in the car's life (my car only has 58,000 miles), amazingly there are no replacement units available in the usa, and this part has been back ordered by Honda for at least a month, with no resolution date. So I cannot have the system fixed because Honda doesn't have any vsa modulators anywhere in the usa. This issue seems to be increasing in frequency especially in the V6 Accord like mine. Is Honda out of the part because so many vsa modulators are starting to fail? it seems like a major safety issue that my car has no ABS or vsa system working while driving, and Honda is also unable to offer a fix since the part is not available.

I have 4 warning lights on the dash brake, traction, steering and tire pressure warning lights. I was told that it has to due with a faulty ABS control module. The part has been sold out for some time. When I talked to the gentleman at the shop he told me that a lot people have been having a problem with this. The light are always on the car drives fine but I'm worried because it controls all of the safety associated with the car.

The contact owns a 2014 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while the vehicle was in park, the power steering, tire pressure measuring system, traction control, ABS, lane departure, and forward collision warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to cambridge Honda (275 fresh pond pkwy, cambridge, MA 02138) where the failure was diagnosed as a vsa modulator failure, however the vsa modulator part was on backorder. The contact informed the manufacturer of the failure. The manufacturer referred the contact back to the dealer since the part was on backorder. No further assistance was provided. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 86,000. The VIN was unavailable.

2014 Honda Accord had vsa, ABS, tire pressure and eps (steering) lights all come on at random and turn off at random. There is also a loss of steering accuracy at low speeds (lower than 5mph) on full lock. ABS would engage under braking at low speeds - at times when the ABS was not necessary to help the stopping of the vehicle, as well and engage and random times (10-25mph roughly). Honda dealership wants $1920 to fix the issue, and stated that they suggest not to drive the vehicle until the problem is fixed due to it being a safety issue. I feel this is indeed a safety issue for not only the driver, but others on the road. I am making this complaint so that both Honda and the NHTSA can understand that this is happening and can correct it and recall it. If the us government mandates (since Sept 1, 2013) cars must have ABS and electronic stability control (Honda's calls it vsa) than how is this okay to let Honda on the road with these failures. At the high price to fix this issue I doubt many Honda owners are willing to afford it.

My 2014 Honda Accord does not start intermittently. Started when my car had 40,000 miles on it. I thought it to be a battery problem. Had my battery tested at advance auto parts and my battery was good. I still replace it. Next day, same problem. No start until the 8th attempt. The loud grinding that come with the fail attempt is frustrating and embarrassing. Today after 11 failed attempts to start my car it finally started on the 12th time. I'm so over Honda and the crazy part is I own a 2007 Honda Accord, a 2010 Honda Accord and this 2014 Honda Accord. The two older years gives me 0 problems while the newer one with less miles give me sooo much trouble. Honda stand up and be the reputable dealer that caused me to buy Honda in the first place. Oh and next the brkes are nothing like the older models. U feel a skip and you slide. These brakes are by far the worst

While driving to work ABS, vbs and steering lights all come on at same time. Brought into the dealer ship as a safety issue. Vehicle had approximately 103,000 miles. Dealer ran diagnostics and reset sensors, said it could be a bad module in the brake system would cost $1800 to replace. Drove car for 2 days all lights came back on. Questioned dealer about module and how common replacement was. They said never replace them. Researched the issue and found that it is very common and causes many issues, dealer/ manufacturer knows of issue and refuses to correct issue in cars with much less miles. Complained to dealer with no response.

The eps, brake, and ABS lights came on when I started the car and would not go off. We took the car to our mechanic who after doing diagnostics told us we need to take our car to a Honda dealer and not drive any more than we had to for safety reasons. The dealer determined it was the vsa modulator and cost $1788.78 to repair. Really disgusted with Honda as I read online where there have been several other Honda owners with the same problem yet there is still no recall on this problem!

While driving the vehicle at low speeds on city streets the electronic power steering, vehicle stability assist, forward collision warning, antilock braking system, lane departure warning and parking brake indicator lights all activated. I took the vehicle to my mechanic who diagnosed a faulty vsa modulator control unit, Honda part # 57110-T2G-L02. When we attempted to order the part we were informed that the part is backordered with no expected release date. That was June 2, 2020. Today is June 22, 2020 and I called Honda again with the same result. I believe the warning indicators are accurately communicating that these safety systems are offline and am not driving the vehicle until I can repair it. It seems unreasonable and unsafe that Honda cannot provide a replacement for such a crucial safety-related part.

I turned my car on one day and the light with the car and a squiggly line under started flashing then moments later the tire pressure light with the exclamation mark came on then weeks following the steering wheel light with the ! came on. I took my car to the tire place to check and they said nothing is wrong and after months of going back almost weekly at this point one of the techs says he heard other Honda Accord's were having the same problem and that it may be a false reading. Then after some weeks my ABS and brake light came on. At first it was only in the afternoon or later these light would come on but now it's whenever. Sometimes they go off after I start driving but then they eventually come back on. I looked on google and it appears this has happened to others stating there was some kind of faulty box thingy that is used to communicate between the lights going off and the car. I don't have the money to get someone to do all of this and if there are others having the same problem did Honda use a faulty part as others are saying? please help

The contact owns a 2014 Honda Accord. Upon starting the vehicle, the emergency brake, ABS, traction control, tire gauge, and steering assist warning indicators illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the electronic brake control module was defective. The contact took the vehicle to capitol Honda (745 West capitol expressway, capitol expressway auto mall, san jose, ca 95136, (408) 675-5884) and was informed that the vehicle was out of warranty and that there were no recalls. The dealer provided an estimate for the diagnostic and the contact refused to have the vehicle serviced at the dealer. The manufacturer was notified and stated that they could not assist. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 90,100.

While driving the car at 65 miles per hour, vehicle auto braked suddenly causing car from behind to near miss my rear of my vehicle. Car the alarmed on ABS, stability control, lane departure, forward collision, adaptive cruise, braking, power steering, vehicle stability and hill start problem. Took car to middletown Honda of NY. Dealer identified problem as vsa module failure. Cost to replace is $1550 plus labor. Vsa module failure is a common problem and should be identified as a safety recall. Car that nearly hit me was driven by off duty police officer who was not happy. Took car immediately to dealer for service. Dealer did not have part to correct problem. Dealer demanded that car remain at dealer due to being unsafe to drive. Dealer was kind enough to give me a loaner car until repairs can be made. This is a serious safety issues!

The yaw sensor went out on the stability control system, out taking everything with it'ABS, stability control, forward collision, lain watch, and the power staring monitor. You could feel the ABS motor working for no reason even without braking. Honda replaced the ABS control module to fix the problem. My concern is as expensive as it was, I'm worried others will not be able to afford the fix and we will have other cars out there without the basic safety systems in place.

Please note that there was a recall for the 2013 Honda Accord for similar issues. The vehicle will at times not start and only make a grinding noise when depressing the start button, this still occurring after changing the battery and starter twice in addition to the fob battery. I speculate that the braking system may contribute to this issue as sometimes the car will start after pumping/pressing the brake pedal a few times or just holding it after initial attempt to start the car (very frustrating). New issue involves the car starting while only pressing the brake and moving the gear shifter (dangerous as a kid can start the vehicle without pressing the start button). Have reported the issue to Honda (local/California main) and spoke to a Honda representative yesterday (5/7/2019) to no avail. Please issues a recall for these cars having this issue before someone gets hurt, or worse, looses their lives. This has been going on for years and is almost on a daily basis, last even was today.
