Numerous consumers have had the same problem with the 2014 Honda Accord ignition switch. Honda refuses to do a recall on it. Honda did a recall of other Honda except mines and a few others which should be against the law. If you search on line. The ignition switch is the main problem for 2014 Honda Accord and maybe the reason for numerous accidents, life threatening situations where the car doesn't start in unsafe areas or at night when getting off of work. Got my starter replaced since it was turning off on me but that did not fix the issue. Reading a lot of similar situations. My car has turned off on me once on the freeway and I almost got hit the good thing is I was on the far left lane and turned the wheel on time, but my car was still sticking out a bit I almost got hit multiple times. Turned off on me twice on the street luckily I was in traffic, still a scary and risky situation. Also tried replacing the alternator did not work.

Honda lanewatch which is a camera-based assist that projects a live feed of the vehicle's right-side blind spot on the car's infotainment screen, stopped working. Car distance markings still appear but the camera feed has gone black/there is no live feed. Similar issue is with reverse camera. There is no live image upon entering in reverse gear, the camera feed has gone black.

The car has intermittently had a no crank start problem for the past six months. I thought it was due to a failing battery but that was replaced and the problem has progressively worsened. It will eventually start as of now. According to google, this is a common problem with the Accord that will eventually lead to it not starting at all and a costly repair that may or may not solve the problem. This has happened while parked.

The failing starter is a well known issue among the Honda Accord community. The starter begins to fail prematurely and eventually will fail to start the car leaving the driver and or their passengers stranded. This can happen at anytime/anywhere the vehicle needs to be started. There is a current tsb to replace the starter and turn the flex plate one bolt hole over. Many times this happens after any warranty has expired leaving the owner to pay out of pocket a large amount of money.

I AM INQUIRING ON MY VEHICLE BECAUSE I RECEIVED ANOTHER RECALL NOTICE. WHEN I PUT MY CAR IN DRIVE, REVERSE, NEUTRAL, OR PARK, SPORT I CANNOT SEE THE LIGHT ON THE SYSTEM. IT CONSTANTLY BLINKS LIKE IT'S STUCK. I HAVE BROUGHT THIS UP NUMEROUS TIMES TO DIFFERENT HONDA DEALERS. I AM IN THE MILITARY AND ACTIVE DUTY SO I USE MY VEHICLE TO DRIVE FOR WORK. IT ALSO HAS CONNECTION ISSUES WITH MY BLUETOOTH WHEN I TRY TO CONNECT MY PHONE OR NEED TO TAKE A PHONE CALL. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR A FEW YEARS AND I STILL HAVE MY DOCUMENTATION AND RECEIPTS FOR ALL THE HONDAS AND SERVICE DEALERS THAT HAVE PREFORMED SERVICES ON MY CAR AND IT NEVER GETS FIXED OR RESOLVED AND DATES BACK ALL THE WAY FROM 2016-2020. THERE HAS BEEN TIMES WHEN I TURN MY CAR ON IN THE MORNING AND THE TEMPERATURE AND SCREENS ARE ALL SCRAMBLED AS WELL. I ADDED ALL MY RECEIPTS AND I HAVE SPENT OVER $6,007.23 TO BE EXACT ON MY CAR REPAIRS AND STILL NO RESOLUTION FOR THE ELECTRICAL ERRORS THAT KEEP HAPPENING. I DO HOPE SOMEONE CAN RESOLVE THIS ISSUE AND MY SAFETY CONCERNS ON MY VEHICLE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND I CAN BE CONTACTED BELOW. My 2014 Honda Accord does not start intermittently. Started when my car had 40,000 miles on it. I thought it to be a battery problem. Had my battery tested at advance auto parts and my battery was good. I still replace it. Next day, same problem. No start until the 8th attempt. The loud grinding that come with the fail attempt is frustrating and embarrassing. Today after 11 failed attempts to start my car it finally started on the 12th time. I'm so over Honda and the crazy part is I own a 2007 Honda Accord, a 2010 Honda Accord and this 2014 Honda Accord. The two older years gives me 0 problems while the newer one with less miles give me sooo much trouble. Honda stand up and be the reputable dealer that caused me to buy Honda in the first place. Oh and next the brkes are nothing like the older models. U feel a skip and you slide. These brakes are by far the worst

Day 1: car had 2 instances of no start accompanied by strange whirring noise under the hood. The first time took 5 tries to successful start, the second time took 2 tries to successful start.all dash lights/radio had power. Day 2: car started up first try no problems, but later in the day when trying to use vehicle again, I encountered the same issue as day 1, but this time without successful start upon exhausted number of tries. Battery voltage tested and monitored while trying to start indicated it wasn't a battery issue. Vehicle towed to purchasing dealership.... told I need a new starter...500$+ bill. Expect it to be out of shop tomorrow. Bms recalled and replaced in 2017 by previous owner, my VIN not included in starter recall. Bought with 76,000 miles on July 11th 2020, starter went out exactly 4 months later November 11th 2020 with 81,000 miles. 2014 Accord LX huge bummer.. I'm a die hard Honda fan and recommender but this has caused lots of inconveniences. I hope Honda makes this right.

The vehicle tends to not start. Turning the ignition only causes a clicking sound, however the car will not turn over (start). I purchased a new starter but the vehicle still does not start, I read online that chances are it will not fix the problem. I found many people online with the same issue that I'm having.
