I leased the Accord, then the following week took a 200 mile trip. I've been in pain ever since. I never had back pain this bad. I have a 1995 Accord which I had for 20 years and thinking about putting those seats in the 2015. I'm stuck with the lease for 3 years ! I can't drive no more than 30 minutes without having really bad back pains. The seats are not made properly. No cushion, no support on the spine. Do not purchase this car. I have Honda generator, 95 Accord. I was a loyal Honda person. Not anymore. Do your research. Hopefully Honda will realize this issue and address it. This problem has been going on since 2008. I contacted Honda Corporate. They made a notation. No help from them. I called Honda Financial. No help from them. Dealer, no help from them. I bought cushions, didn't do the job. Never again. Good bye Honda.
Update from Sep 24, 2015: My right foot went completely numb yesterday. I couldn't feel my right foot. Which is a problem because I can't feel the brake pedal or gas pedal. I notified NHTSA and put a complaint.

For any drives over roughly 30 minutes, the seats begin to feel like you are sitting on hard boards. The foam used in these seats is obviously very cheap. Honda can do much better. I bought this car under my Mom's name. She has always had Honda's since the early 80s. My Mom has late stage Parkinsons and cannot move much at all anymore.. cannot walk, dementia, etc. I took her on a 2 hour drive to visit some of her old friends and after about 50 minutes in the passenger seat she actually started crying because the seats hurt her so much. In this case I may decide to get rid of the car and buy something different from a Honda. It is evident they went cheap on the seats... not smart.

I hate this car!! My brand new Honda Accord 2015 seats are awful!! I had the car only 4 days and I can't drive it. My neck, butt bone and shoulders are killing me. I rather drive my old 1997 Nissan Maxima then drive this new car that has only 100 miles!!! How I regret buying this car. I m going to try to return car. No one can in their right mind pay 30000 dollars in exchange to get a car that is going to ruin your health!! I'm going to kick and scream and will be returning this car. If you have this problem please let me know!

Test drive not long enough to uncover the problem. Its difficult to drive with no feeling in your feet!!!

Please make the seat comfortable, it does no good to build a 200,000 mile car if people can't stand to drive it!!!

The worst seats I have ever had! I have found however, that most cars today have similar uncomfortable seats, but I thought that Honda was above all of that! Don't ever buy a new car unless you drive it over a weekend on a good number of mile trip in order to see if the seats are not a problem. I had the front seat bottoms redone at a cost of $300, this helped some on a short drive to shop however an hour or more drive the seats still were awful.
One last try before I got rid of the car and took a beating on it is as follows. Protherapy @ 1-800-883-0368 sells a WG-DU-001 Wondergel Double Gel Ultra Cushion for $119.38 free shipping no tax. This saved me from having to dump what is really a great car! It not only makes the seat much better than most new cars but it also evens out the bumps in the road, makes it feel like a much heavier car! I wrapped it on the sides and the front with velcro and tied it behind the seat backs. This keeps the cushion from sliding off of the seat bottom and does not mess up your seat if you want to sell the car at some point. On the passenger seat which is not adjustable up and down and makes you feel as though you are sitting on the floor, this cushion is 2 1/2 inches thick and that is another plus for this solution.

I am only 5'2" and My 2007 Rav4 seats were fine so you'd think that Honda Accord's seats might be better made being newer by 8 years. The automatic drivers seat in my new 2015 Accord Sport only moves forward and back, up and down (the entire seat) and lumbar adjustment. My issue however is that the seat bottom where it meets the seat back is substantially lower than the front of the seat bottom and therefore cuts off the circulation under my legs no matter how low or high I adjust the seat since it only either rises or lowers the entire seat. An hour is about all I can handle sitting in these seats without feeling the risk of blood clots due to lack of circulation to my lower legs. Now I see all these complaints from shorter women starting years ago which indicates that Honda has known about the issue for years. They should just advertise the Accord for tall people.
I purchased a wedge pillow however it tended to shift all around so it's too much of a hazard to use. I am really sorry I purchased this car now. It is my first Honda and can say I don't think I would buy one again - perhaps in another 10 years or so Honda might catch on that only tall people are comfortable in the Accord seats.
I am looking to get estimates on custom upholstering for the drivers seat to add cushioning so that the back of the seat bottom has some added padding to even it up with the front. If that costs as much as I would loose in a trade in, I may just go ahead and trade it in on another make of car that I can drive longer than an hour in without the chance of getting a blood clots from lack of circulation.

The seat in this Honda Accord Sport is the most uncomfortable I have ever driven. The bottom of the seat is way too far low and the back of the chair has no support. In order to have any back support, you have to put the lumbar support out which then digs into your back. It is not comfortable like other cars. Then when you put the lumbar support out, it pushes your upper back into the seat and there is a metal bar within the seat that jams into your back forcing your upper back forward. I have had terrible hip and back problems for the last 3 weeks since I bought the car. Have had to go to the chiropractor twice already. I've driven my wife's car, sister's car and other cars since and no problem. They need to fix this!

Unfortunately, I did not discover that the seat was uncomfortable during the test drive and only discovered it after taking the car home. I've tried adjusting the seat but still cannot find a comfortable position. The seats are definitely stiff. My issue is mainly my back. The stitching seems very hard and presses directly on my mid-back causing pain. If anyone has a solution, then I would be very interested in hearing it. This problem is causing a pain in my back and also causing my right leg to become numb.

The front seat in 2015 Accord Sport is a shame for Honda. It, by the looks, has a pretense of an engineered seat but designers certainly did not seat in it. Way too hard, with pressure points and badly contoured. Driver's position is not centered with the steering wheel, and the seat is NOT symmetrical. Junk. Spend your time in it before you buy this car otherwise you will have to live with it for years ...

I purchased this vehicle 2 days ago, coming from 2010 Nissan Maxima. Typical test drive of around 15 minutes and NEVER imagined that I would have any problems with a vehicle made by Honda, especially one of the upscale models (this is the first Honda I've owned). This is literally the single most uncomfortable seat I have ever sat in, in my entire life. I truly mean that in the most undramatic, sincere fashion. There's no drama there.
I drove 1 hour (first time I'd been in it for a continuous hour) and noticed my pinky toe on the left foot was numb, asleep, could have cut it off and I'd never have known. That gradually worsened with pain, numbness and tingling running down my left leg from my butt all the way to my foot. News for you folks, I'm a RN of 10 years and have lot of rehab experience, ER, ortho, WC case management, etc. I drive 4000 miles / month for my job - lots of time behind the wheel. I've been in the car for a total of 2 hours today, broke into 1 hour, a stop and another hour.
I've been OUT of the car for an hour now and my entire left leg is tingling and a horrible ache and burning pain in my left buttock. The seat on this car had no thought put into design or pressure points. Per the dermatome distribution, this is putting some intense pressure on my sciatic nerve and the concerning part is, it doesn't stop once I'm out of the car...pain/numbness/burning/tingling continues. If I continue with this vehicle, it concerns me that I might be risking permanent nerve damage. FYI...sciatic nerves are very important.
I went to Wal-Mart on the way and purchased a gel-padded seat cushion, hasn't helped. It feels like the seat is slightly tilted to the left, placing more pressure on the left side. Also consideration is the bolster on the seat cushion placing pressure on the posterior lateral portion of the buttock and thigh...right where the sciatic nerve tracks. Love everything else about the car, but I've had it 2 days and I'm actually dreading getting back into the car for the 2 hour drive back home. I'll start looking into some orthotic supports (which is absolutely ridiculous to need for this vehicle) and will post back if I find a solution.
