There has been a series of constant issues with this model and each issue has been brought to a certified Honda dealership and was supposedly "fixed" engine code P0300 (random/multiple cylinder misfire),P2651 B rocker arm Actuator system, P0087 Fuel Rail/system pressure, P0304, P0303 cylinder 3 and 4 misfire, engine temperature always above normal. These issues on multiple situations has put my safety and the safety of others at the highest risk. The motor vehicle due to these issues randomly would lose power to the point where stepping on the gas doesn't not accelerate the car, forcing me to stop in the middle of the highway having other vehicles stop suddenly and swerve around me with children in the vehicle. Another occasion going up a hill the car beings to stutter losing power resulting to the car shutting off, forcing me engage These reoccurring issues have also randomly caused the vehicle to not start. Multiple warning signs are lit across the dashboard. These occurrence are random with no warning sign The vehicle has been brought to the same dealership numerous times claiming each issue was fixed but within a few weeks more issues came. The last visit i was told as a "solution" i need to buy a new engine out of pocket, unacceptable for a Honda engine with 64000 miles on it. This oil dilution issue need a proper answer before someone is serious injured.

The vehicle had a very violent shift (perhaps it was turbo lag related?) at low speed (under 20 miles per hour - typically, this happens in a parking lot or the like as you slowly drive away). This has been mentioned to the dealer, numerous times, who claims that the issue is not reproducible.

You lose power while driving than it stalls to about 20 mph Emmission warning lights come on. After cool down the car will drive normal speed again for a short time before it repeats itself driving 20 mph with emission warning light coming on. It is a very hazardous condition and dealerships can-??t figure anything out. We have spent $1600 on fuel ejectors And car still doing the same thing. Next morning my husband drive it to work and was put in a hazardous condition.

All warning indicator lights came on and I took car to a Certified Auto Mechanic who said it was caused by the fuel pump problems surrounding Honda cars. Said it affected the fuel injectors (mis-fire) and I should take it to Honda dealer for fix. Honda dealer said this VIN of my 2018 Honda is not on the recall. I asked about being covered by the 5 year power train warranty and was told that this did not fall under that warranty. The auto mechanic said he would have to charge around $2000 to replace the fuel injector (1), but the others would probably go bad unless everything (Pump and injectors) were replaced. There over 500 complaints with NHTSA on this year model and over 200 of those are similar problems that match prior recalls for same model and year but different vin numbers. The reports from Honda to NHTSA regarding selected "recall" units does not prevent other problems identified due to Indian defective parts surrounding the fuel pump problems. If I read all the details correctly only hundreds of just 10,000 recalls have been completed. Why would Honda/NHTSA not want to include the few other hundred that may be present to prevent accidents and uphold the Honda reputation of quality?

On 3 separate occasions my Honda Accord 1.5T has lost power while driving in traffic. All of the warning lights came on, and I could not go over 10 mph. Fortunately i was able to turn onto a side street each time. I turned off the the engine and after a few minutes restarted...only once was I able to regain power and drive home with normal power. My car went to the dealership each time, and they have told me they cannot duplicate the issue. And now the dealership has had my vehicle for almost 2 months. The service agent said he has never seen anything like it, and when I mentioned specific articles about the turbocharged 1.5 engine online, he discounted them saying, "anyone can write stuff on the internet". Honda dealership and Honda Corporate has no solutions, other than just live with it. A car slowing down in heavy traffic or on the expressway is a major accident waiting to happen, and Honda doesn't seem to care.

I have had issues with my rear brakes for a long time. I have changed my rear brakes twice since I had the car. Today all my warning lights in the dashboard turned on and won't turn off. I have no clue as to what's going on. Also the rear taillights had a broken seal where moisture collects in the taillights. The brakes in this car was the worst I have ever experienced. The car vibrates while braking and there is a vibration in the brake pedal as well despite having recently changed the brakes. The warning lights are a new problem and a complete electrical failure. The current mileage is 62,000 miles.

The car had a strong smell of fuel in cabin when starting on various occassions. The car also temporarily stalled and lost power when coming to a corner turning and also three times when coming off the freeway. The car was always warmed up and in California during the warm weather. Dealer noted fuel smell in oil and increased oil level. Had oil changed and was told a fix was coming soon. Took car in to dealer months later for a recall, a BCM recall and again I told them that the oil smelled of fuel after 500 miles since oil change. Waiting for manager to call me back with update on fix. It is a 2018 Honda Accord 1.5 litr turbo. 26,000 miles on motor. I bought the car from the dealer in January 2020.

2018 Honda Accord with 10 speed automatic transmission experienced a very violent upshift at low speeds (taking off from the parking lot). This happens intermittently and, of course, a dealer was not able to diagnose the issue as they only drive the vehicle for, maybe, an hour, while the issue occurs every so many hundreds of miles (can't quite pin down the exact interval).

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving, several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to hendrick Honda bradenton (5515 14th St w, bradenton, fl 34207) and was not able to be diagnosed due to the warning lights no longer being illuminated. The contact also stated that she had replaced the battery. On another occasion while driving, the brakes independently activated without warning. The failure occurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer however, the mechanic was not able to retrieve a failure code. The contact also stated that while driving, the vehicle failed to exceed 20 mph. The vehicle was towed back to the same dealer. The dealer called the contact and the contact explained the failure. The dealer informed the contact that fuel injection needed to be replaced and that the vehicle was over 36,000 miles and was not covered under warranty. An estimate for the repair was provided. Driving down the highway going 70mph and check engine light starts flashing. Car stops accelerating I limp over to the median. I turn the vehicle off and turn it back on. The car has a solid check engine on along with all the assisting lights on. The car accelerates like normal and when I get home I disconnect the battery and everything clears once I reconnect. In another instance I go to turn my car on the check engine light stays on but the vehicle won't go past 1500 rpms and it's basically in limp mode with the check engine light on again to go along with road departure system, vehicle stability system, tire pressure monitoring, brake system, electric power steering, hill start assist, adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation and emission system warnings all light up. I did the same thing disconnect the battery and again they all go away. This has been going on for a month. At least 9 times where all the warning lights come on along with the check engine light. Once when I'm traveling as explained and 2 times where it goes into limp mode from the start. Took vehicle to a friend and got a P0303 cylinder 3 misfire. Having done research of the code noticed that 2012-2018 Honda's have had similar issues addressed by a bulletin and extended the warranty for those vehicles. My car has 70K and it's currently out of the warranty period. Thank you.

Purchased in May 2019. Currently < 50,000 miles. All service performed at Honda dealership. Several weeks ago began to notice gasoline smell in the cabin while driving. Didn't think much of it, though it was coming from the outside/other vehicles. Check engine light came on last week. Took the vehicle to the dealership for service, was told the fuel injector needs to be replaced, cylinder 3 issue. Last resort was to do a fuel injector cleaning service, had that done. Two days later, while driving 70 mph on the highway, the vehicle would no longer accelerate. Immediately pulled over without incident but could have been very bad. I am not convinced the fuel pump problems that required a recall for many 2018 Accord with 2.0T engines are not also impacting 1.5T engines.

Intermittenly (I.e. every so many hundreds of miles), the vehicle has extremely violent shifts at low speeds (2-20 miles), where upon shifts it almost feels as if the vehicle has been re-ended. Honda has not properly investigated issue as their usual M.O. is to send the customer to the dealer where the vehicle is driven for a couple of hours for "troubleshooting" which, of course, is not sufficient time-span for the issue to manifest itself. As with a number of other issues in the 2016-2020 Honda models, Honda has not properly investigated this issue and it is another potential foreshadowing of a mass failure just as Honda had with the automatic transmission in the 2000-2017 time span. And it would seem that Honda is up to their ways again, when it comes to the automatic transmissions: Https://www.carcomplaints.com/news/2020/Honda-Odyssey-transmission-problems-cause-lawsuit.shtml in their other models.
