I have taken my Honda because of engine misfiring. They said there is coolant seeping in the pistons and we red a new engine gasket and the cost is $4,000. All the warning lights are turning on and alerting the driver but when I took it in and paid $380 they can-??t figure out why these are turning on. The fuel injectors and belt are another item that has been alerted to being an issue. These are problems my 20 year old car has not encountered and this is a 2018. The airbags warning has been an issue at least once every few months.

Supplemental restraint system malfunction which could lead to failure of airbags to deploy. This is a fairly new car and the indicator for failure of this system appeared with no prior collision, deployment of airbags, or tampering with system. Non-deployment of airbags in the event of a collision is a major safety hazard due to a randomly malfunctioning system. The problem has not been confirmed by dealer or independent service and has not been inspected. There is a warning message that appears that does not state what the issue with the restraint system is (electronic or mechanical).

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. As his wife was pulling into a driveway at a low rate of speed, the vehicle independently accelerated without warning. The contact's wife had slammed on the brake pedal but to no avail. The vehicle continued to accelerate and crashed into the house. The vehicle continued to accelerate upon impact and his wife was able to shut off the vehicle. The contact's wife nor the occupants inside the home were injured as a result of the collision. The vehicle caused damage to both the home and the vehicle in the garage. The airbags did not deploy upon impact. The police were called to the scene and a police report was filed. Due to the failure, the vehicle was towed to an independent body shop for repair. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 23,000.

Airbag warning sign comes and disappears randomly. Attached is the warning sign. There are other Accord that showed recall for airbags. I think my car is also in the category. The issue has been happening for over a month. Light appears both while stopped and in motion, randomly and stays for so long the car is on and the disappears when restarted the car.

When the car is switched on and started driving, randomly the yellow passenger airbag light on the center dashboard would start blinking. Blinks with a 5 second gap almost. And randomly after that happens, I get the are airbag light on my dash saying "suppliment system restraint problem. See your dealer". in order to reset this, I have to switch off the car, wait for a few minutes and start again. Sometimes this issue would come right away after starting the car, sometime not for days. Reading the code, it's gave the following code B00D5-14.

Airbag system not consistently activated with small adults (5'4", 110 lb. And 5'8", 115 lb.) passengers. Have followed all troubleshooting steps, I.e. nothing obstructing seat, passenger sitting fully upright, etc. Dealership and american Honda state it is functioning as engineered even though owner's manual states plainly that it should function at > 65 lbs and adults should not ride in the seat if this occurs. Occurs inconsistently while in motion and parked.

The dealer stated that a new air conditioning belt was taped onto the unit. The belt was covered with foam to keep it attached to the unit. As the belt pressed against the air conditioning unit it made a noise and, coupled with an unknown object under the dashboard, caused a vibration. The air bag failure was not diagnosed. Neither the air bag or vibration failure was repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failures. The failure mileage was 1,090.

May 13th, 2018 driving on the highway doing 50-55 going eastbound on the bay bridge in san francisco -'out of no where' the electric parking brake came on! and I didn't push no buttons! not quite sure of the malfunctioning, but it cost an accident' cause someone hit me from behind! also my airbags didn't deploy, but when Honda link assistant called and we was told- 'they sense an accident cause of deployed airbags.'
