My car was initially at Performance Honda due to engine failure on June 24, 2022. They called on July 20, 2022 and confirmed that my car engine was repaired and I picked it up on July 20, 2022. Then on July 23, 2022, I incurred the same engine failures as noted by the warning and error lights on my display panel. The car started slowing down while I was on the expressway creating a safety hazard but I was able to drive it to Performance Honda. The manager explained that the car needed a turbo and they had to asked Honda to approve the purchase to install it into my car. I dont know if the turbo is new or used or even under warranty but Performance Honda contacted me on August 8 and said again the engine was repaired. I've read where there are other owners experiencing similar issues. My car was still within warranty of my purchase date July 17, 2019 and the repairs were made under the warranty but I still incurred rental car expenses that have not been reimbursed to date.

Hello, I am writing to you about my 2019 Honda Accord Hybrid. This vehicle make and model had over 600,000 safety recalls for the Denso fuel pump. When I Input the vehicle on Honda for recall info, nothing shows up. I took it to a local Honda dealer but they did not check the fuel pump instead told me it was other issues. I was driving my vehicle on the freeway after my first Honda visit and my vehicle suddenly lost power and the check engine light started flashing ( I have videos of this if needed). There was a truck behind me and I almost got hit by the truck which was a significant issue to my safety. I also started to smell gas. These are all signs of a bad fuel pump. I understand that my vehicle does not pop up on the recall with the VIN number but being it the same make and model with similar symptoms, I would like to see what NHTSA can do to inform me of the recall as my vehicle possibly might have a bad fuel pump ( which should be covered under this recall).

When I was driving during a storm on June 24, 2022, the numerous warning readings flashed on my dashboard. My car begin to slow down until it completely stalled. I was able to restart the car and drive it off the main road and it stalled again. AAA tolled my car to Performance Honda. I have a 2019 Honda Accord EX purchased July 17, 2019 with 35014 miles. Honda explained that the engine had lost oil and the engine was completely inoperable.

I am filing this complaint because I just took in my 2019 honda accord to the honda service department so they can look at the issue with the sensor lights that are going off in my car. I thought it was a simple malfunction with the sensors but they came back telling me that there is a misfire issue with the engine causing the sensor lights to engage and all going off at the same time. My car only has 37000 miles on it and its less than 3 years old. I've taken the car to a 3rd party mechanic for regular maintenance work and its up to date on oil changes and all other maintenance that is required for the car. The Honda folks submitted for the warranty to cover the repairs of $4800 to replace the head gasket replacement along with the machining of the engine head. I have not gotten into an accident now have I used my car to race anyone that would cause the car to warp to that point. I think this is a defect and the Honda warranty folks are just using the excuse that I was using a 3rd party mechanic to fix this issue to avoid having to pay for the repairs. I cannot afford this repair $4800. I still have to make car payments as well as the insurance on the car for something fairly new. Can you help in any way with this?

Driving on the highway at speed. Started to accelerate to pass. After a very brief moment of acceleration, it stopped accelerating. Engine light started flashing on the dashboard. Due to loss of propulsion, myself and one passenger were almost rear ended. I then engaged emergency flashers. Had to navigate multiple semi trucks on my right to coast to the shoulder. Once stopped on the shoulder of the highway, I turned off power to the vehicle, waited a couple minutes and re-started the vehicle. Vehicle started, engine light was no longer on. Drove away. Took vehicle to a Honda dealership the next morning. They kept the vehicle for a week and could not replicate the issue or find anything wrong upon inspection.

This is a follow up for NHTSA complaint 11452424. After the engine light came on along with other warning lights, like a Christmas tree and taking the vehicle to a Honda dealership with a almost $3700 repair bill for a vehicle with with under 88,000 miles. The dealership said the vehicle needed a head gasket. The problem is the dealership did not provide the error code numbers. They just gave a price due too coolant going into cylinder number 3. I asked the service rep for a break down the for repairs, which he said was provided. The only thing provided was coolant leaking into cylinder 3 with no codes that the dealership found with the engine light on. I filed a complaint with Honda to off set the repair cost. Mind you we are talking about a head gasket. Honda denied the claim and referred to lack of maintenance. When I told the representative I do my maintenance. He said it was because the dealership wasn-??t making money. Who in their right mind would pay $144 an hour maintenance when they can-??t be up front and provide codes that were thrown on engine light for repair bill. I think NHTSA needs to investigate Honda-??s technical service bulletins regarding cylinder misfires in 1,2,3 and 4. I am quite skeptical that a dealership can not list error codes on a repair estimate that they aren-??t hiding something. My family will never purchase another Honda and I will share this Story with everyone I know. Something is being hidden if the dealership doesn-??t provide error codes. I have never seen this in my 30 plus years of driving.

Sudden engine power loss; merging to highway speed was not possible. Risk to safety was the loss was when needing to merge with traffic at highway speeds. The dealership could not reproduce the problem. The check engine light did come on, but no codes were generated. The check engine light extinguished before the vehicle could be taken to the dealership. Only possible symptom, prior to the event, and still existing, is a lack of power, compared to when it was new. The dealership cannot confirm the cause of this power loss. There are other indications that there is a controls/computer problem, in my opinion. Power assist is not always available, but then suddenly engages, causing the car to jerk. My conclusion is that the vehicle does not immediately recognize the steering input. The problem is most pronounced when traveling straight, on the highway and needing to make a mild lane correction to maintain the lane. The vehicle does not immediately recognize the mild steering input until the steering wheel has been turned significantly. Once the steering wheel has been turned significantly and the steering input is recognized, the power steering engages, causing a sudden jerk and a need to recover control. The dealership has not been able to reproduce this problem. I have been able to temporarily resolve it, by momentarily engaging the Lane Keep Assist. Normal, expected power assisted steering is recovered for a period of time.

This vehicle has a safety issue when it comes to snow on the ground and driving on a hill/incline. I was driving my vehicle through snow in the Ohio/WV region and when I tried to drive up a hill with snow on the ground the vehicle stopped. The vehicle would not accelerate and it seemed the engine just shut off. So I put the car in neutral and pushed the gas and I was correct the engine had no RPMs. This caused a huge safety issue to myself and the people driving near me. As I had ZERO control over the vehicle on an incline. The cars coming toward me and the ones behind me had ZERO issues with their vehicles going up this hillside. I tried three times to shut car off and back on so it would give me a few seconds of acceleration, allowing me to get up the hill a few more feet before shutting off again and possibly causing an accident. When I took it to my Honda dealer they stated computer showed no issues with the vehicle. And they have not heard of the engine shutting down or not having RPMs with snow on the ground. They recommended that I have tracking control off next time allowing me full control vs. the computer of the car however, I DID have it off. Once they heard that statement they informed me I have no other options. Honda did tell me when driving in snow other messages can go off and the car is still SAFE to drive. Which it needs to be as this area has tons of snow. However, that is not the case if the car just shuts off. Prior to the issue, the car kept beeping non stop with warning of break system & adaptive cruise control. My sensors were wiped off prior to the car shutting off. Yet again you can't keep a sensor spotless driving on a highway with snow. Two of the warning lights that showed on my dashboard were not listed in the manual. I am now afraid to drive my vehicle with any snow coming down. I have been a Honda owner since the 90's and I no longer trust this brand.

My son was driving and car stalled and wouldn-??t accelerate. Engine light came on. He shut the car off and restarted. Thank god it happened in a rural road. No issues after restarting. Two days later engine light came on along with a Christmas tree of everything else. Took it to a friend who put it on his snap-on code reader. He said take it too dealership. Find out it-??s a fault head gasket. They want 3700 to fix. The car has 87000 miles on it. I have never seen a head gasket go bad on normal everyday cars. I thought Honda was reliable. I thought wrong.

Upon accelerating on a highway, the malfunction indicator light came on and the car lost power. Without drive power it was very dangerous to maneuver to exit the freeway. The dealership recognized that this was due to issues with the intercooler and PGM-FI software for this vehicle and is spelled out in a technical service bulletin (Honda 21-052). However, even though the car is under the original warranty, they want to charge over $250 for the repair.

Vehicle repeatedly experiences a "cylinder misfire error" when driving above 45 mph. The check engine light will flash and the car surges like it is stalling. Loss of the ability to accelerate when it occurs. Also, the car shakes violently when the vehicle comes to a stop before turning off the engine. Many times, after restarting problem temporarily stops. I have taken it to the dealership multiple times, but problem is unsolved. Happens at least once a week. Started at 58,000 miles. More recently, the vehicle experiences a safety system failure when driving above 45 mph. 10 system warning lights were activated and will continually appear on instrument panel. Warning lights activated: 1. Hill Start Assist Problem 2. Adaptive Cruise Control System Problem 3. Collision Mitigation Braking System Problem 4. Road Departure Mitigation System Problem 5. Emission System Problem 6. Tire Pressure Monitor System Problem 7.Brake System Problem 8. Electric Power Steering System Problem 9.Vehicle Stability Assist System Problem 10. I purchased my Honda Accord sport last month and had no issues 5,000 miles on it. But as I've been driving it the brakes are not operating as they should way too sensitive and is not a smooth process as it should be the slightest pressure makes it jolt forward. On idle my rpms start to lower then go up I don't believe this should be happening. I don't know if it's a vacuum leak, fuel pump or spark plugs but there is an issue.

I was driving on the highway doing a normal lane change then all of a sudden lost all control of the vehicle. Loss of power and maneuverability. I went into the side ditch where my vehicle completely flipped over. I had just got the BCM recall on my vehicle 5 days prior. I cannot explain how, only that my vehicle lost complete control for no reason, it was as if I had turned my engine off while changing lanes.

Shortly after starting the car, car shudders when accellerating over 40 mph. Do not matter which mode it is in. All lead to engine shuddering and the flashing check engine light. When not engaged in eco mode, I received a notice say canceling econ mode when the mode was not egaged, the typical process is start car and within a few minutes, accelerate above 40 mph and within seconds get a blinking check engine light, a shuddering engine that is slowing down below 60 mpg and getting more violent, this began after picking up the car from having routine maintenance performed. I know there is out for the general 2019 Accord model, just not my model, but the fuel pump issue sounds very similar to what I am experiencing with my Honda Accord. The "solution" so far is pull over and turn the vehicle over and restart it and hope for the before, but it only gives a temporary fix.

On 3 different dates my 2019 Honda Accord sport had a power failure. I was going about 65 to 70 mph when each incident occurred. First time was around 12/12/2021.the engine or power shut off, RPM dropped all at once for about a minute then came back to life. The second time was 12/28/2020 on the same interstate 81fgoing about the same speed. This time I pulled off the interstate the car was still shut off. I restarted the car it drove ok and no more trouble that day. On 01/12/2020 it happened again on I 81 interstate and again it shut off or lost all power for about a minute then it recovered itself.this was a very bad situation as I was in 3 lanes of traffic with tractor trailers all around going 70 mph.I have reported this to miller Honda, three times. They took it in and tried to see if it would shut off on them.it did not at that time. Service manager could find nothing at that time. I have called Honda and registered a claim as I feel this new car with only 5,500 miles on it is not safe to drive.

On 3 diifferant dates my 2019 Honda Accord sport had a power failure on the highway interstate 81, going around 65 to 70 mph. The engine shut off for just a minute then came back to life. RPM dropped all at once. 1st time on 12/07/2020. Second time was 12/28/2020 same interstate same around the same speed. This I pulled off to side of intersate. The car was still shut off. I restarted car and it started fine and no more disfunction that day. On 01/12/2020 it happened again on I 81 interstate and again it shut off lost all power for a minute, rpms dropped completely and then it recovered itself. Now I have reported this to miller Honda 3 times. Just last week they took it in for another recall on somethi;ng in the computer and they up dated that. A that time the service manager said he could find nothing that showed it had ever shut itself off in the past. I did shut itself off 3 times and I dont care what he said it did happen and I do not feel this vehicle is safe to drive. It is a year old I bought it brand new at miller Honda in winchester va. And it has only 5400, miles on it.

Shifts from drive to neutral when shifter is slightly contacted, such as removing a water bottle from cupholder near shifter console. This has happened at least 3 times including while driving and when idling. If this happens at 60mph you will slow down to a stop without brake lights lit, possibly in the middle of a highway, may result in rear end accident. I was lucky to have noticed and was able to shift back to drive without accident occurring. I am emailing service department at burns Honda regarding this problem today, as they are currently closed for thanksgiving.
