Takata inflators. I need assistance for my 82 year old mother. Her Honda is part of the recall for the takata inflator. Upon reading the instructions off the web site advising her to go to her local dealership..to rent a car...she was turned away and told they had no cars available. I have called 2 additional dealers about the recall and was not given any information other than to call back...every week... I was told by the 1-888-234-2138 # that there is a waiting list that the dealer must put you on and that each dealer has a pre negotiated rate with hertz or enterprise.....so why would my mother be turned away from her local dealer and not assisted in this recall that is life threatening to Honda passengers? I feel like no Honda dealer really wants to be bothered by this recall.
