Takata recall. I was told the parts for my airbag replacement would be available summer 2016. I never heard anything. I am tired of driving a car that is inherently unsafe.

Takata recall attempts to respond to recall, described on the official recall from Honda motor co. In early spring 2016. Honda stated that replacements would not be available until mid-June 2016. Each time beginning July 2016 that I attempted to schedule the vehicle for immediate replacement, this message appeared on the official Honda recall web site after entering my VIN number. The message was as follows: ""recall status: Recall incomplete. Remedy not yet available" this message never changed and as of Nov 16,2016, Honda added the following: "if the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for your vehicle in a timely manner, please contact the NHTSA vehicle safety hotline at: 1-888-327-4236 or tty: 1-800-424-9153 or file an online complaint with NHTSA." The original notification from Honda, (available upon request), intimated that due to the replacement airbags (not being available until early summer 2016), that owners who were overly concerned of driving their vehicle during the next few months, should contact their dealer and they would attempt to accommodate the owner. The letter did not list a specific remedy. Attachment this is gross negligence on the part of the NHTSA!!

Plaza automall took info from my car for takata recall on July 28, 2016 and assigned tag # 927. They told me the parts for the repair would be available in 3 months. They hinted that a loaner car would be available but did not offer it. Since this is a life-threatening defect I am disappointed and concerned. They and Honda have been very unresponsive.

Takata recall / I received my first notice about this airbag recall in March 2016. The remedy is not yet available and the local Honda dealer advises me that they are being told late fall or later. I am not driving the car due to the risk severity. I am now encountering annual vehicle registration hassles if I don't complete the smog certification and registration by the deadline. The offer of a rental car by Honda doesn't solve this issue. The airbag and car manufacturers are being given too much time to resolve this recall. Please accelerate the remedy.

Takata recall - receive letter 3/16 for recall airbag driver side - now going into fall and the mfg still does not have replacement. Meanwhile, we are driving a car with an airbag that can kill you instead of saving ones life - that is ironic. Need this fix before it happens and it could happen any day...

Takata recall - in March, 2016, we have received the recall notice that the part will be available in summer 2016. In June, 2016, I called andersen Honda (palo alto, ca) for repair appt, then they 'placed' the part order. Now in October, 2016. There is still no eta on when the airbag part is available. This is beyond the 'reasonable period of time (60 days for repair appt). What is the reasonable time for the recall to be addressed?
