Takate recall - I want to make you aware that the Honda corporation has not effectively ensured that its independently owned/operated dealerships are addressing all affected drivers of the recalled vehicles. Drivers who are under the age of 18 are not able to rent cars from enterprise rental services, which is being used as the sole alternate transportation option by hendrick Honda, woodbridge, va. Hendrick Honda does not have loaner vehicles. Therefore, anyone under the age of 18 who drives one of the affected vehicles has no options to get alternate transportation. Obviously, there are other dealers in the nova area, but in a call to three dealers, they have run out of loaner cars. My family is affected because my daughter, age 17, cannot drive the other family vehicle due to her small size and the large size of the other family vehicle. It would seem to me that since a 17 year old was a person who was killed in the airbag incident that, in part, prompted this airbag recall, that the Honda corporation and all its independent dealers would be expected to have appropriate alternate transportation options for all drivers, not just those over the age of 18. I have filed a service claim with the Honda corporation and have requested that the service director from hendrick Honda, from whom I purchased the vehicle, to whom I was referred to get the alternate transportation, and with whom I have done business for well over 5 years, call me to discuss this problem in more detail. However, I feel that the larger issue is that Honda and its dealers have not looked at its entire customer base to ensure that all potential drivers of these cars are covered.

Takata recall in the wake of the recent death of a teen in Texas because of a faulty takata airbag, I wanted to take this opportunity to inform you about my experience with the recall. I received numerous notices from Honda informing me about two airbags that needed to be replaced in my Honda CRV. With the first notice I contacted my local dealership and was told it would be two months prior to my passenger airbag repair. I felt that wasn't an issue since my wife had another car and I hardly had passengers in the vehicle. I recently received notice that my driver airbag is now in need of replacement and since moving to san diego after the birth of my daughter my wife and I now use the the same car with my daughter in her car seat. This recent notice was disconcerting so I took it upon myself to call american Honda motor co. Directly to secure temporary alternative transportation per their recall notice. This issue with my vehicle is potentially deadly and with my new daughter I did not want to take any chances on her safety. After speaking with jessica on 03/19/2016 at 10:45am I was given the case id# 04523834 and told I would be contacted early the following week to have someone discuss my options. It is now almost a month later and I have received no call nor any response from my messages.

As instructed. But later I realized it was at a different place. When I sent email saying so to rick he blocked me from sending more emails.

Takata recall hello, I just received a replacement vehicle while Honda waits to figure out how to fix the inflators. Fortunately, I did not get to test whether my vehicle was affected. However, instead of receiving a replacement small-size SUV, they gave me a mid-sized sedan in the interim. This is a poor trade, and I will incur additional costs as I have to move. Is there anything that can be done about it? I feel ripped off since I was apparently driving a frag-grenade around for the last few years.

Takata recall Honda refuses to assist me with this recall. They have no loaner for me at the dealership and wouldn't "allow" me to use it if they did because I have a pet and they don't allow pets in their vehicles. They have paid for a rental that also does not allow pets and refuse to pay for the associated pet fees with it and get's terrible gas mileage. This has impeded my ability to work as I have no way to bring my dog on jobs with me any longer and can't pay for daycare for him. Additionally, Honda refuses to suspend off my car payments temporarily, so I'm paying for a vehicle I can't drive. Honda has told me I need to take "personal responsibility" on several occasions. Me. I do. The consumer who purchased their rolling death machine. I have spoken with agents at the local dealership and at Honda's call center (aaron, sahara, winona). Winona was bold enough to tell me that this is my problem since I encountered financial difficulties last year and even inquired twice as to why I was in debt. The audacity has been astounding.

"takata recall" I received a recall letter from Honda in March 2016 stating they would not have the parts for my car until summer 2016. I have decided not to drive my vehicle and have gotten a rental from my dealer. They gave me a Ford Focus which I am not happy with. I had to put my name on a list for a SUV. I feel this is not being handled in a timely manner by the Honda corporation. I also don't trust even driving my car after they fix it. Is there any other action I can take. I am very concerned about this because I drive my grandchildren in this vehicle. Also in the meantime while my vehicle sits in my driveway I still have to make my car payment and pay my car insurance for a vehicle that I cannot and am afraid to drive. I am not satisfied with Honda's response to this. I did go to the dealer and my next step is to call Honda itself but do you have any suggestions to help me. Thank you for your help in advance. Takata recall - I was provided a rental car to be driven for 3 plus months until part are available. This is ridiculous. I do not want to drive someone elses car for 3 months or more. I have a CRV for economic reasons and the rental is a big gas guzzler mini van. I can't put my pets in or I will be charged a $150 fee when the rental is returned so I am uncertain of how I am expected to get animals to an from the vet or boarding during our planned vacations and work trips. Why is there not a trade incentive offer toward a unit without these issues. Seems it would be a win! win! win! for the customers dealerships and the manufacturer. Move inventory, new car for the consumer, less rental fees to the manufacturer and put more Honda's on the road. This would be great for brand loyalty also.

Takata recall. I am in receipt of a letter stating my driver side airbag could kill me if it deploys, and the parts to fix it are not available until sometime this summer. I don't want to drive around in a car with a defect that could kill me. I talked with my Honda dealer about a rental car which is one of the options noted in the form letter, but they can only authorize a sub-compact. I drive an SUV because I own a newspaper and have to be able to hold 3,000 - 4,000 copies of my paper. A subcompact cannot do that, and driving one would adversely affect my ability to conduct business and make a living. I am writing to request authorization to have crown Honda, 7671 us hwy 19 N, pinellas park, fl 33781, deactivate my driver side airbag until I am notified the parts are available and Honda can fix it and reactivate it.

Takata recall we have been told by Honda our CR-V is unsafe to drive but have not been given a replacement vehicle - despite numerous attempts to arrange for this at the local dealer (schomp Honda, littleton, co). The dealer said they would try to arrange for a sedan of some type however this is not acceptable, as we must have an all-wheel drive vehicle due to the nature of my work (I drive for uber and lyft). I opened a case with american Honda on 3/25/16 but as of this morning (3/30), despite being told someone would get back with me by no later than 3/28, our case has not even been assigned to a case manager. So we are forced to drive, and my passengers are forced to ride in, what Honda calls an unsafe vehicle.

Takata recall - please see the attached letter which explains my predicament related to the announcement of the takata recall for 2011 Cr-vs. Today, Honda corporate's response to my plea was to dismiss me with no reasonable remedy. They are not willing to help me trade in my 2011 for a 2012 so that I replace my business delivery. At this point a rental is not even an option - neither hertz nor enterprise (verified by scott jordan - gfm of greenwich Honda 203 622 0612) will rent a car to be driven by young delivery drivers. So I am stuck with a 2011 car I cannot use and no way to replace it unless I buy another car out of my own pocket! this seems that the entities that created this awful situation are not willing to make amends. What other recourse do I have" can you help me"

Honda describes airbag to be unsafe...could kill or injure driver...a loaner CR-V will be provided, however I would have to pay $250 unpon return of the car for "detail" cleaning. This is because I Transport a therapy dog (through therapy dogs international) to facilities in the back of the car. If I opt to take a risk and continue driving the car, my car will be one of the last to be repaired, as all individuals with leased cars will be given a priority. I feel this is unfair, as I was not responsible for the defect in the airbags.

As instructed in the recall letter I received, I called my local dealer. I spoke to sam in the service department. I explained my concern about the air bag recall letter and told him that I was fearful of driving my car as the letter stated that I could die if the air bags deployed. He assured me that I would receive a call back today. I did not receive a call. When I attempted to call again they were closed. I am very concerned about driving my car and would like to know what my next step is.
