The collision mitigation system causes the vehicle to stop suddenly in the middle of the street. This happens when there is nothing in the street and when there is a pot hole cover. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership, but since this happens randomly, they were not able to reproduce the issue. The information screen goes blank and shuts off at random intervals. The first few times I took the vehicle to the dealership for repair, they reset the screen and then eventually they replaced the screen. The issue has continued

All my car systems started to flash warning failure lights including brakes, steering, transmission and all the safety features. My car would start but I couldn't move it out of park and all the warning lights for every system on the car blinked failure. The wire harness that connects to the rearview mirror caused my entire car to shut down and become inoperable. I had to have it towed and it cost me $1552.53 in repairs. I did some research and other people are having the same issue. Critical systems like brakes shouldn-??t be connected to things like mirrors. This is a critical safety concern. This issue should have a recall. The 2019 models having a bit of wire that hangs down is clearly a design / engineering flaw. I shouldn-??t have to pay to repair this. I would like to know what Honda-??s plan is to fix this issue. I have found reports of others having the same issue. My hanging my handicap plate card on the rear view mirror shouldn-??t short out the entire car. Legally that is where we are suppose to hang it. People with disabilities have lower incomes and shouldn-??t be penalized for Honda design errors. I would like my money refunded. I think Honda should warn customers of this flaw. I also think Honda needs to fix this on all existing and future models. I was lucky this didn't happen while I was driving on the highway to my destination.

The forward collision or automatic brake system engaged for no reason, Zero cars on the road. The car beeped and then came to a complete stop, luckily no vehicles were behind me or I would have been involved in a car accident. The LCD screen beeps, turns on and off, brightens appears and go and down. It won-??t stop until you turn the car off. It-??s happened numerous times. The backseat passenger window went down and wouldn-??t go up either by backseat passenger door or driver door, heard clicking by shutting the car off it fixed it.

Brightness control of the center console infotainment unit will randomly cycle through it-??s settings; day, night, and off. Problem has occurred multiple times since I purchased vehicle in early 2021. Typically happens during the day with full sunshine, but has happened three days in row now with rainy/cloudy weather. Have shown video of problem occurring to a Honda dealer service tech and after inspecting, was told they could not reproduce problem.

Infotainment System Will randomly glitch. No touching or pressing of buttons beforehand. And no access to do anything while glitching. Infotainment System Will spontaneously beep like you are pressing buttons, go from light to dark at different speeds. Very distracting while driving. Especially when nothing can be done to fix. Once car is turned off and restarted it does seem to -??most of the time-?? make it go away for a bit. Nor rhyme or reason as to when it will happen. Hot or cold, AC or heat etc.

Unexplained auto braking. 1st incident Summer 2021. Was approaching intersection with a stop sign with no vehicles behind or in front of my CRV. There was 2 construction metal poles on each side of the intersection. As I approached the cars brake warning light on dash flashed. I tapped brakes to slow down released the brakes and the light returned and car suddenly braked hard before I got to stop sign. Was only going about 15 mph but braking was hard enough to throw me forward in the seat and was caught by the seatbelt. There was nothing in front of the vehicle. Happened again 2 days ago Sept. 2022. Driving on highway at daytime no vehicles in front or rear of my CRV. Brake light started flashing to hit brakes. I applied brakes, but there was nothing in front of me. Because I continued braking the auto brake did not engage this time. Talked to local Hinda dealer was told they have not heard of any issues. If it happened again they recommended getting car inspected. Also have had intermittent issues with radio display suddenly starting to dim and change brightness on its own going from black to bright repeatedly with audible beeping. Was driving car everytime this happened. Happened multiple times over last 2 yrs. Only way to stop it is to stop vehicle, turn it off and then restart it.

For the 4th time in a year and a half, my CR-V has failed to start. I've had it in for dealership servicing twice on this issue and even replaced the battery at their recommendation. It did not fix the problem and they have since told me that they can't identify the problem and said it could be with the computer system (I did purchase an additional warranty for the computer system). In addition to the car failing to start and needing a jump start, the dashboard will start beeping and go blank, or flash a warning message that does not fit the situation. I consider this situation to be a safety issue as it leaves me without a reliable car for travel due to the uncertainty of being able to start the car. The latest episode was today and it was 88 degrees out and I had my 91 yr old father and my dog with me. Waiting for assistance in the heat was very hard on them. My father felt sick due to the long exposure to heat.

1) The following has occurred 5 separate times on 5 separate days: I was driving on a 2-lane road on 4 occasions going anywhere from 25mph to 35mph, and on a 5-lane freeway on 1 occasion going 65mph. My brakes suddenly engaged and my car came to a full stop. The "BRAKE" notification flashed on my dashboard continuously for 30 seconds to 60 seconds. I was unable to steer car for another 1-2 minutes after. Each time it felt like a slam and my body was physically moved in whiplash mode. All items in my car flew around. Each time this occurred there was not another vehicle, object or person in front of me nor beside me. However there were cars behind me. On 3 of those instances, the cars behind me swerved. On all 5 instances I was shaken to my core. I did not want to drive for a day or two after. I have been terrified ever since. I could have been killed each of those times. My son could have been killed or severely injured on 2 of those occasions he was in the passenger's seat. The other drivers who had to swerve violently to get around my car could have also been killed or severely injured. Each of those times the dashboard has lit up every single icon. I have been told I have to pay to have this problem checked out. I do not have the means for this. I purchased my vehicle brand new off the lot. This is unacceptable and honestly terrifying, both for the risk of death and injury, and financially. 2)Electric Parking Brake Problem- my car refuses to start after this event.

Low Tire WARNING light comes on even when there is no problem, because as I was told by my dealership, "The warning light comes on when it can actually be a reminder." Because of the WARNING I pulled over on a heavily traveled road way to look for a low tire. Dangerous not only to my self but other vehicles. "Warning" does not mean the same as "Reminder" and yet Honda has no way of distinguishing the difference. Do I keep driving ignore the warning light as it probably means nothing, and causing an accident because there was a real tire problem or pull into a possible unsafe area, to check? I feel there should be a way to distinguish warning from reminder on the vehicle that has more electronics than the first space craft.

While driving felt sticking of the steering wheel when only turning left on curves or at a red light or stop sign. This occurred sporadically over a three month period but became more pronounced the last month prior to taking the vehicle to the dealership. Dealership discovered the issue was the electric power steering (EPS) had failed. This occurred 3 months after 36 month warranty had expired and 3,000 miles over the mileage limit. No warning light was displayed when issues occurred. Diagnostics was performed by dealer and fault code 32xx thru 34xx confirmed the problem was the EPS control unit. Had the unit replaced due to safety concerns when driving with family. Because of the electric system there was no way to conduct preventative maintenance. Called Honda corporation and a "Good Will Case" was opened (#13019826).

The audio head unit software or hardware is defective. The unit resets repeatedly like someone is pressing the brightness button over and over again (beeping wildly). The problem is well described online as extremely common in newer Hondas. Honda has a TSB on it https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10163184-0001.pdf However, the dealers often won't replace these unless they can see the problem themselves, which only happens intermittently (in my case, I have many videos of the problem). But when it does it is an extreme safety hazard disabling the navigation system, climate controls, and other controls controlled by the head unit. Many people in online forums have had their units replaced multiple times to no avail. Honda should be forced to recall these defective audio head units. At the very least dealers should be instructed to fix the problem when videos of it are shown to the dealer.

The contact owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while it was raining and the vehicle was parked outside, the contact's son noticed that the windows were rolled down, the air conditioning was activated, and the radio and windshield wipers were activated however, the key was not in the ignition. The dealer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to place the key in the ignition. The contact's husband placed the key in the ignition and rolled up the windows. The battery terminals were disconnected to deactivate the windshield wipers, radio, and air conditioning. The vehicle was towed to the dealer however, the dealer could not duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred whenever it rained. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer a second time however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The manufacturer informed the contact that they needed to witness the failure to assist. The failure mileage was 15,112.

The vehicle had its battery checked and was fine. The vehicle has been taken to a Honda Dealership for diagnostic testing.
